Samsung has a plethora of mid-range series, each with a distinct purpose. You have the Galaxy M and A series, which are aimed at those who are concerned about battery life and selfie aficionados, respectively. Galaxy A52 5G was added to the company’s A-series range this week for continuing to offer the greatest mid-range smartphones year after year. Let us sneak into the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G to know all the specifications before it gets launched in the Indian smartphone market.

Samsung Galaxy A52 5G Price in India

Because of the improvements in CPU, display, and connectivity, the device is expected to cost around Rs. 5,000 more than the Samsung Galaxy A52. In India, the Samsung Galaxy A52 is priced at Rs. 26,499 for the base 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model and Rs. 27,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. This indicates that, if the leak is accurate, the 5G variant may cost more than Rs. 30,000. There is no word on when the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G will be available.

    About the Mobile Phone

The key highlights of the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G include Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset and a stunning 64MP quad-rear camera with OIS support. The Samsung Galaxy A52 5G carries 8GB RAM and 256GB internal storage and features a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Also, there is a 32MP selfie camera and a 4500 mAh battery under the hood and the Samsung Galaxy A52 runs on One UI 3.0 based on Android 11.

    Pros

    • Super AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate
    • 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage
    • IP67 dust and water resistance
    • 64MP Quad-rear camera setup with OIS
    • 32MP selfie camera with 4K video support
    • 5G connectivity

    Cons

    • Hybrid SIM slot
    • Should have been a 5000 mAh battery
    • Incompetent chipset for the price tag

If there is something that makes the Galaxy A52 5G unique in the given price range, it’s the IP67 water and dust proofing, which is something Samsung has introduced for the first time in this price segment. The second USP of the Galaxy 52 5G is its design, which is definitely new and unique along with a premium plastic back mounted with a rectangular camera bump housing a quad-camera setup. The front side features a punch-hole at the top and comes with almost negligible bezels.

The volume and power buttons are on the right side, which feels a little squishy but isn’t awful. The bottom features a single speaker grille, a USB Type-C connector for charging and data transfer, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The top edge features a SIM tray. For biometric authentication, there is an in-display fingerprint sensor.

One of the special features of the display is the 120Hz refresh rate. Yes, the display of the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G boasts a 6.5-inches Super AMOLED display with a higher refresh rate for a seamless experience. Overall, this display looks fantastic, with outstanding colours and contrast. The display can reach 800 nits of brightness, allowing you to watch content even in strong sunlight.

To power the Galaxy A52 5G, Samsung has chosen the freshly released Snapdragon 750G octa-core processor. This chipset supports 5G networks in the mid-range price bracket. Although it’s not that capable, it is good enough to provide decent performance. Samsung Galaxy A52 5G has 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage onboard, which can be expanded upto 1TB via an external microSD card. The Samsung Galaxy A52 runs on OneUI 3.1 based on Android 11 out of the box.

The camera section is one of the major highlights of the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G. Samsung provides an unbeatable camera in this price range. There is a 64MP Quad-rear camera setup, followed by a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, a 5MP macro and a 5MP depth sensor. One more thing that Samsung has introduced in this price range is the OIS  feature. So the stabilization is going to be great here. Here you have got the option to capture 4K videos from both front and rear camera setup. There is a 32MP selfie camera under the punch-hole, which is capable of superb photography.

Samsung Galaxy A52 features a 4500 mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging, which is an improvement over the Galaxy A51’s 4000 mAh battery and 15W charging. In contrast to the 4G model, the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G comes with a 25W charger in the package. There is a Type-C charging connector for attaching the charger, and Samsung has kept the 3.5 mm headphone jack in the Samsung Galaxy A52 5G.

The Galaxy A52 5G sweats the details, with a beautiful 120Hz AMOLED display, an IP67-rated shell, a decent OIS-laden camera, and the guarantee of four years of security upgrades. However, it isn’t without flaws. The fingerprint sensor is oddly sub-par, and the design isn’t an all-time classic Samsung design.
