The price for the Samsung Galaxy A51 is pretty much affordable for those looking to buy a smartphone with a brand tag. It has become one of the highest-selling devices in the Q1 of 2020 at this price segment.
Samsung Galaxy A51 comes in a sleek and slim plastic body with a glossy finish at the back to make it look like glass. The size and weight of the device are just right to be comfortable in hand. The rear panel has two diagonal lines running across the back surface creating a gradient effect. There are subtle lines around the bottom to make it look even better. The housing of the quad-camera is very much similar to the Samsung Galaxy S20 series. On the front, there is an in-display fingerprint scanner on the Infinity-O display. The 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type-C port are found at the bottom.
Samsung Galaxy A51 is available in three pastel colour variants – Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush Blue and Prism Crush White.
Samsung Galaxy A51 sports a 6.5-inches Infinity-O FHD+ display which is powered by the Samsung’s Super AMOLED technology. The infinity display is a near bezel-less display with a dot-type notch for fitting in the front camera. The colours on the screen turn out vibrant enough even in harsh sunlight.
Samsung Galaxy A51 comes with an advanced octa-core Exynos 9611 processor which is an upgrade from the Exynos 9610 as in Galaxy A50. This is paired with up to 8GB RAM to deliver a smooth and lag-free user experience. There is 128GB internal storage available which is expandable up to 512GB.
The Galaxy A51 runs on the One UI 2.0 based on Android 10 out of the box which offers dark mode, navigation gestures and other customization options.
To capture more perspectives, the Samsung Galaxy A51 features a quad-camera module with 48MP main camera sensor, 12MP ultra-wide angle sensor with 123-degree field of view, 5MP macro lens and another 5MP depth sensor with live focus effects. There is support for UHD 4K video recording at 30fps. The Infinity-O punch-hole on the front carries the 32MP selfie camera.
Samsung Galaxy A51 packs in a typical 4000 mAh battery which is generally sufficient for surfing, streaming and gaming. It is also accompanied by a 15W fast charge in-the-box. The battery longevity has improved from the Samsung Galaxy A50.
Samsung Galaxy A51 is offered with an overall upgrade in the camera quality, power-efficient battery, and a stunning and vibrant infinity display. The processor isn’t quite different from the one offered last year and that makes it less competitive with other options that can be available at the same price in the market.
