Here’s What to Expect from MWC 2020: From Xiaomi to OnePlus!
The CES 2020 just got to an end, where multiple brands showcased exciting new technologies from new smartphones such as the OnePlus Concept One and a lot more, and it’s not enough. The Mobile World Congress 2020 is approaching and we are all set to witness some more new smartphones from companies.
While there is not a lot before February 24, 2020, we may see press launches and events begin pretty soon before that similar to the CES. There are a lot of rumours starting to speculate about the new launches from brands at the MWC. In this post, we will give you a glance on all the expected launches and news that may occur at MWC 2020.

Huawei had recently launched the Huawei Mate 30 Pro without any of the Google Services like Youtube, Maps and more, this was due to the U.S Ban on Huawei which led to multiple companies cutting ties with Huawei. But the brand has announced that they will be launching soon a new phone without any of the Google Play Services.
Also, pretty high chances are there that the brand may showcase the Huawei P40 and the Huawei P40 Pro at the MWC 2020, as we had seen the renders of these devices surface the internet along with the camera specifications, or we may see them launching 5G variants of their older phones or showcase the new HarmonyOS.
Huawei’s sub-brand will be definitely busy, as they have scheduled a launch event for 24, February 2020 at 4.30 pm U.K Time. We may see the brand taking this as a chance and showcasing new smartphones.
We may expect the brand to launch the Honor View 30 Pro which is already up for sale in China and the Honor 9X which was recently launched in India, while there are chances that the brand may show up with a surprise.

Nokia will be launching some new smartphones at the MWC 2020, these may include the Nokia 8.2 5G, the Nokia 5.2 and the Nokia 1.3. These smartphone specifications had been leaked recently and also it has been tipped that the brand is launching these at the MWC 2020.
We may also see the brand showcasing 5G variants of their pre-existing smartphones or they may come with some new 5G handsets for 2020, Nokia doesn’t schedule a lot of launch events, so this may be a big opportunity for them to showcase some new smartphones.

Xiaomi has already confirmed that its Mi 10 and its pro version, the Mi 10 Pro is in the works. With the MWC occurring pretty soon, we may see Xiaomi taking this opportunity to showcase the Xiaomi Mi 10 and the Mi 10 Pro 5G in its full glory.
There are also rumours spreading that the brand is all set to launch some new 5G phones at the event. Xiaomi will also be demonstrating the new clamshell prototype folding phone. Let’s see what Xiaomi has in for us.
OnePlus showed off the OnePlus Concept One at CES, a phone with disappearing cameras that makes use of new material on the back. Hence there are pretty low chances that the brand may show up a new smartphone.
But quite some time back, the OnePlus 8 and the OnePlus 8 Lite had been spotted and they received certifications. Thus it may be possible that OnePlus may launch the OnePlus 8 Series of smartphones at this upcoming MWC 2020.

Realme has been doing a pretty impressive job with their budget series of lineup be it from the upcoming Realme C3 to the flagship Realme X2 Pro. We recently had seen certainly about 6 new devices from Realme attaining certifications from various authorities like FCC, Wifi Alliance and more.
And it seems that the brand is all ready to launch the successor to the Realme 5 Pro, as the Realme 6 Series of devices are right around the corner. Thus there are chances that Realme will be launching the new Realme 6 Series at the MWC 2020. Also, it has been tipped that Realme has been preparing to showcase the Realme X50 Pro 5G at the MWC 2020.
Oppo has been gathering around for the launch of the Oppo Find X2 and the Oppo Reno 3 Pro. While the launch dates or any details have not been officially revealed by the company, there are chances that the brand may showcase one of the above two mentioned smartphones at this event at MWC 2020. Also according to some reports, it has been confirmed unofficially that the brand will be showcasing the Oppo Find X2 at MWC 2020.
Oppo may also demonstrate their new fast wired charging technology which is expected to have a 65W Fast charging support along with the new Oppo smartwatch which had been recently officially confirmed by the company.

Sony has a good record of displaying new smartphones at the MWC. In the previous year the brand has launched some of its new phones at MWC, also Sony has scheduled an early press event at 7.30 AM UK Time on February 24.
We can expect the company to show off the Sony Xperia 2, the successor to the tall Xperia 1 smartphone. It is also rumoured that the brand is supposedly launching the Sony Xperia 5 at the event. It will not come to be a surprise if Sony shows off some other new phone as well.

According to the leaker, Evan Blass, Motorola has been working on a flagship smartphone running the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Chipset and named as Motorola Edge+. While there isn’t any information regarding the phone including renders, it is tipped to sport a punch-hole display.
The company has scheduled an event at the MWC 2020 on February 23, at 7 PM Local time, where it is going to reveal the U.S only exclusive Motorola Edge+.

LG has already shown off their phone in rival to other folding smartphones with the LG G8X ThinQ. But now it seems that the brand is preparing to launch another smartphone with an additional secondary display.
It may be possible through an additional case as seen previously in the LG G8X ThinQ or the brand may take help of some other new technology. The phone is reportedly named as the LG V60 ThinQ and is being revealed at the MWC 2020.
MWC 2020: Other Brands:
Other than the above mentioned top tier brands, there will be multiple other brands as well. These brands may include HTC, TCL, Microsoft and more.
Also, Microsoft has confirmed that they will be up at the MWC 2020. They may be showing off the improved Surface Neo and the Surface Duo, their foldable phone prototypes.
