Huawei P50 Pro Launch in India

Huawei released the Huawei P50 series in China recently. The Huawei P50 and Huawei P50 Pro are part of the new series. The new phones have excellent camera setups and a unique design that puts a strong emphasis on the camera. Huawei P50 Pro’s unique selling point is that it runs on the company’s own mobile operating system, Harmony OS. Aside from that, it features top-tier specifications. Huawei P50 Pro Price in India

The 8GB + 128GB storage variant of the new Huawei P50 Pro costs CNY 5,988 (approximately Rs. 68,800). The 8GB + 256GB storage option costs CNY 6,488 (about Rs. 74,500), while the 8GB + 512GB storage option costs CNY 7,488 (roughly Rs. 86,000). Pre-orders will commence on July 30, with sales beginning on August 8. It is available in the colours Cocoa Tea Gold, Dawn Powder, Rippling Clouds, Snowy White, and Yao Gold Black.

There are two additional variants with 12GB + 512GB storage and Kirin 9000 SoC, one costs CNY 7,988 (approximately Rs. 91,800) and the other costs CNY 8,488. (roughly Rs.97,500). Both are expected to be available in September.

Huawei P50 Pro Design

Huawei P50 and P50 Pro look extremely similar. Huawei has abandoned the P40 series dual-hole punch design. Instead, a single-hole punch cutout for the selfie camera is used in the latest series. Huawei P50 Pro’s rear is dominated by what appear to be two enormous, round cameras, but they are really glass modules housing numerous camera lenses. The unique design really sticks out. 

The front side has a punch-hole display with curved edges and slim bezels. Because the total weight is reasonable, the in-hand feel is also excellent. Furthermore, Huawei P50 Pro is IP68 certified. Overall, the design is really appealing.

Huawei P50 Display

Looking at the front, Huawei P50 Pro exhibits a 6.6-inch punch-hole curved display. Huawei has provided the display with FHD+ resolution and the OLED panel supports more than 1 billion colours along with 100% DCI-P3 Colour Gamut and 450 PPI pixel density. Not only this, there is a 120Hz refresh rate and a touch sampling rate of 300 Hz which is surely going to make the screen very responsive.  

Huawei P50 Pro Camera

Huawei’s P series has a reputation for producing some of the greatest cameras on the market, and Huawei P50 Pro is no exception. Multiple lenses are housed in two big circular modules on the rear of the phone. 

One of these is a 50MP primary camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and Laser Stabilization, another is a 40MP monochrome camera, followed by a 13MP ultra-wide camera, while the third is an 8MP telephoto camera. According to Huawei, the telephoto sensor can zoom up to 200x, although it isn’t clear what amount of optical zoom is available on the device.

In addition, software improvements have been made to the phone’s night-mode images. Included in this is an XD Optics system for more detail, a True-Chrome Image Engine for increased colour accuracy, and Super HDR for expanded dynamic range. Pro Stabilization allows you to shoot steady 4K video, as well.

A 13-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.4 aperture and autofocus capability is located on the front of the device.

Huawei P50 Pro has a 4,360mAh battery and supports 66W wired super-fast charging as well as 50W wireless super-fast charging. It also has wireless reverse charging capabilities.  4G, Wi-Fi 802.11 axe, Bluetooth v5.2, a USB Type-C connector, and NFC are among the connectivity possibilities.

Huawei P50 Pro First Impressions

The lack of 5G in the Huawei P50 Pro is shocking and frustrating, given that the smartphones are released with flagship features just as 5G has become available. However, given the other specs, the Huawei P50 Pro is the ultimate camera phone with a strong chipset and enormous fast-charging capacity, both wired and wireless along with enough RAM and storage.
