The new Moto G72 phone comes with 4G support as it is powered by MediaTek Helio G99. So, this may come as a drawback for Motorola fans. Since the 5G services were launched in India by PM Modi at the IMC event.

Even the Jio and Airtel 5G services will start to roll out in the country. In the initial phase, the services will be rolled-out in selected cities this month. As per the Jio, the services will begin from Diwali. But the Airtel services have already begun in the selected 8 cities.

The CEO of Airtel has urged the customers to buy a new 5G supportive phone and to be ready for Airtel’s 5G rollout. This joins the not of the story. But the new Moto G72 doesn’t support 5G services, unlike its predecessor.

It will only support 4G on the phone. This comes as a heartbreak for the Motorola fans. The new phone will not only miss the 5G fast data speed but also the stable connection, clear voice calls, and others.

Moto G72 Or Moto G72 5G ?

Despite the other features, the 5G miss will definitely be a loss for the users. Though a decent Snapdragon 695 5G SoC or a 5G MediaTek Dimensity chipset would have done the trick for Motorola customers. As the customers of Motorola are expanding.

Also, as per the promise of Motorola, only one main Android update was to be done. That means it will only have the Android 13 stable build. It might be that Motorola already had a tepid reception for this phone.

So, that’s the reason behind just one update promise. Although, the phones in this segment are to have at least two major Android OS updates. But as the 5G services will roll out in the entire country by March 2024.
