The latest OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 9R brings the July Android security patch 2021 to the device. When it comes to the system improvement of the device, the update addresses the overheating issues. The overheating control management of third-party apps have been optimised to bring system stability. Furthermore, issues and glitches with Quick Reply have been fixed as well alongside a couple of other issues.

Furthermore, the OnePlus 9R gets the new Bitmoji AOD feature for its Ambient Display. The new feature allows users to set a personal Bitmoji avatar to the smartphone’s Always-On Display. Users of the smartphone can toggle it on by navigating to Settings > Customisation > Clock on Ambient Display > Bitmoji. The Bitmoji feature has been designed in collaboration with Snapchat. Additionally, the smartphone also gets a screenshot feature for the AOD.

However, one thing to note is that the update is slowly rolling out so, not all OnePlus 9R users will get the update at once. It will first be pushed to a small percentage of people and then gradually roll out to everyone. In order to check if you have received the update, navigate to Settings System System updates.
