Oppo Fold foldable smartphone is once again back into the news. As it is, Foldable phones are the talk of the town for quite some time now. Many major brands like Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, and Motorola have already entered the foldable smartphone segment. In March this year, a Chinese tipster claimed that it is working on a folding smartphone. Now, the foldable smartphone by OPPO is becoming more and more of a reality.
This is mostly because of the fact that it has been increasingly appearing on leaks and reports as of late. As per a previous leak, the OPPO fold phone will come with a Moto Razr like design. Although Oppo has not announced the official launch date of its upcoming foldable phone. However, some details of the device have leaked online. Oppo Fold Battery Specifications Tipped
Ahead of the launch, some details have been tipped online. According to Digital Chat Station (via Mukul Sharma) claims that Oppo Fold will pack a 4,500mAh battery inside its foldable smartphone. The device will also support 65W fast charging, which is on several other Oppo premium and flagship smartphones.
Meanwhile, rumours suggest that the foldable phone from Oppo will sport a 7.8/ 8-inch. Moreover, it will be an AMOLED panel with a 2K resolution. Lastly, the display may also support a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, Oppo Fold might pack Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 888 SoC. We can expect it to come with 12GB of RAM and 256GB/ 512GB of internal storage.

Moving to optics, Digital Chat Station revealed that the upcoming smartphone will come with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor. Now, this particular sensor has been widely used in quite a few smartphones. These include the OPPO Reno 7, OnePlus Nord 2 and OnePlus 9 Pro. At the front, the tipster reported that the Oppo Fold will sport a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.

Digital Chat Station also tips the upcoming OPPO fold phone to come with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. Now, this could be because an in-display fingerprint sensor would definitely not be an ideal choice on a foldable flagship device.
