Realme 8 5G silently launched in Thailand on Wednesday, April 21. The mid-range smartphone comes with an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. In addition, it comes with a full-HD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, apart from 5G connectivity. The new Realme phone is also scheduling to launch in India at 12:30 pm IST on Thursday, April 22.

Realme 8 5G price in Thailand starts from THB 9,999 (approx Rs 24,000. However, it is likely the price of the base variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The phone is also available in a 6GB+128GB configuration.

Realme 8 5G Specifications

It sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 600 nits peak brightness. The handset is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. In addition, it comes along with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. Notably, the phone supports Dynamic RAM Expansion that increases the phone’s RAM capacity by using internal storage. The phone runs on Android 11 with Realme UI on top.

Realme 8 5G comes with a triple camera system that includes a 48MP primary sensor, a macro lens, and a mono lens. There is a 16MP camera for selfies and video calls. The device packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, triple card slot. Both front and rear cameras support 1080p video recording at up to 30fps.
