Realme is shifting its approach to launching flagship phones. A recent leak suggests that both the Realme GT 8 and Realme GT 8 Pro will launch together this year. The Pro model will come with the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chipset, set to launch in September. If both the Pro and standard models feature the same chip, it could indicate that Realme is aiming to narrow the performance difference between its Pro and non-Pro variants.
What Are The Rumoured Specifications?
The leak indicates that both the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro will launch with Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850), a flagship chip that promises significant performance improvements.
These phones will come with notable upgrades in screen quality, periscope zoom, and battery life, putting them in direct competition with other premium Android flagships. Specifically, the Realme GT 8 Pro could sport a flat 6.85-inch 2K OLED display from Samsung, featuring the same AR anti-glare coating seen on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Powering the device will be a 7,000mAh+ battery housed within a metal middle frame, with support for 100W fast charging.
