Samsung, a trailblazer in the foldable phone space, is now gearing up to enter the tri-fold segment. Recent leaks have hinted at the company’s first-ever tri-fold smartphone, allegedly revealing the Samsung Galaxy G Fold. This tri-fold is may adopt a unique G-shaped folding mechanism. Alongside this innovative device, the tech giant will also launch the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7, and the Samsung Galaxy Watch 8 series at its upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event. Samsung G Foldable Leaks: What To Expect?

The latest leaks hint that the Samsung G Foldable is expected to feature a tri-fold design with three connected display panels and two hinges. One animation reveals a large inner screen that unfolds into a sizable display, while another shows an outer panel housing a vertically aligned triple-camera setup.

The central panel will serve as the cover display, complete with a center punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The purpose of the third outer panel remains unclear.
Furthermore, the device reportedly folds in a G-shape, both outer panels folding inward, which justifies the need for an external cover display. Additionally, a secondary camera located on the right side of the inner display could be used for video calls or selfies when the device is fully opened. Some internal references to the device label it as the “Multifold 7,” which may serve as its codename ahead of launch.
When To Expect Its Launch?
According to recent reports, Samsung might unveil its tri-fold device at the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event next week. Whereas some leaks indicate that mass production of the Samsung G Foldable will begin in September 2025. Interestingly, the initial rollout is expected to be limited, with availability restricted to select markets—primarily South Korea and China.
