However, one thing that always troubled users was the ability to decide whether or not to delete a message in just 7 minutes via the WhatsApp Delete for Everyone feature. Now, the feature will reportedly get an infinite time limit.

According to a report by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp Delete for Everyone feature will be getting an indefinite time limit now. The popular tracker found this piece of information while going thrrough WhatsApp for Android beta v2.21.23.1 details.

As mentioned before, initially it allowed users to delete a message within 7 minutes of sending it over to someone. In 2018, this particular time limit was increased to 4,096 seconds. Now, we will most likely get to see the much requested feature in action.

However, WABetaInfo does suggest to take this with a pinch of salt as it is still under development. Moreover, WhatsApp Delete for Everyone infinite time limit feature release date is currently under wraps. So, nothing can be said for sure as of now.

Once you successfully delete a message with the Delete for Everyone feature, it will be replaced with a message reading as “This message was deleted”. In order to do so, follow these simple steps:

Step 1: Firstly, open the WhatsApp application on your device. Then, go to the chat where you want a message to be deleted.

Step 2: Now, tap and long hold on the message to move forward with the WhatsApp Delete for Everyone feature. You will now get the option to choose multiple messages at once. Instead, look at the top right corner of your screen and you will see a recycle bin icon. Tap on this.

Step 3: Herein, you will get three options:

  • Delete for Me
  • Cancel, and
  • Delete for Everyone

Tap on the Delete for Everyone option and your message will be erased from both yours’s and the receiver’s devices. This is how you can use the WhatsApp Delete for Everyone feature easily.

WhatsApp Video Playback Interface

On top of the WhatsApp Delete for Everyone feature getting an infinite time period, something else has popped up as well. WABetaInfo took to another report to reveal that WhatsApp for iOS is getting a new feature.

This is a new video playback interface that will allow users to carry out a bunch of different things, from pausing the video to playing it fullscreen. In addition, users will also be able to close the picture-in-picture window. In fact, some v2.21.220.15 iOS beta testers have already stared reportedly getting the feature as well.

Last month, we saw this feature arrive to a beta version for Android. Additionally, WABetaInfo also reports that certain iOS users of the app may also notice a change in how YouTube videos play on WhatsApp. The videos automatically start playing in fullscreen mode. So, alongside the WhatsApp Delete for Everyone infinite time feature, this is another great functionality to look forward to.
