According to a report, Xiaomi is working on a smartphone that will come with a 200-MP sensor. It comes days after the company launched Mi 11X Pro with a 108-MP Samsung HM2 primary sensor in India. However, reports on the 200-MP sensor are making rounds on the Internet for quite some time now. Moreover, a couple of tipsters have also pointed out that Samsung is allegedly working on a 200-MP ISOCELL sensor for smartphone cameras.
According to a report from tipster Digital Chat Station, Xiaomi is working on a 200MP camera smartphone, which will be the most amount of megapixels on a smartphone. It also cites an older Weibo post from tipster Ice Universe who claims that this particular ISOCELL sensor is being developed by Samsung, and has a 0.64-micron pixel. Although, 108MP is the largest count of megapixels that is on several devices including the likes of Samsung, Realme, Xiaomi.
On the other hand, Samsung like Xiaomi is working on the sensor. The sensor measures 1/ 1.37-inch and has 1.28-micron pixels. It claims to support 4-in-1 as well as 16-in-1 pixel binning technology to reduce the noise for enhanced images. The sensor was also tipping to record 16K videos.

We have only this available in terms of information for Xiaomi. However, this is not the first time we are hearing of this. Earlier rumors of a ZTE Axon 30 Pro featuring the 200MP sensor surfaced online. But they did not turn out to be true as it launched with a 64-MP sensor. As there is no concrete evidence of this piece of information, let us take it with a pinch of salt.
