YouTube Is Now 17, Transforms Itself, Check Them Out

YouTube, the Video streaming platform is 17 years now. Hence, the platform has undergone a transformation. YouTube recently announced various new features to give a ‘modern and immersive viewing experience’ to its users. However, YouTube said that the users need not worry as the platform they know and have been using for the past 17 years is still having the base.

New Key Features Of YouTube

The platform has said it wanted to add up vibrancy to the apps without detracting from the viewers’ habits. Hence, after analyzing it introduced the ambient mode sign dynamic colour sampling. It provides a subtle effect. The app background colour adapts to match the video.

It has even updated its dark theme so that the colours pop on the screen. This feature will be enabled on the web, mobile and smart TVs. The video playlists will provide more details about each playlist. So, the users can easily jump right in.

The app has been trying to make video watching easier. Now, the YouTube links in the video descriptions have switched to buttons. The actions such as like, share and download are now made to reduce distractions.

Moreover, the channel subscribes button has seen a touch-up with a new shape and high contrast. It is not red in colour now. YouTube even released a pinch to zoom and precise seeking to all users starting October 24, 2022.

Amazingly, with this feature, users can easily zoom in and out of a video on an iOs or Android phone. After the user lets it go, the video still remains zoomed in, so that the users can enjoy the rest of the video in greater detail.

Next comes the Precise Seeking feature. It means whether you are on a desktop or mobile device, you need to do is simply drag or swipe up while seeking to display a row of thumbnails in the video player. The user enables to make fine-tuned adjustments to get to the exact part of each video.

YouTube showcased the ability to long press anywhere on the player to seek and double tap with two fingers to skip chapters. It even added a graph that shows frequently replayed moments in a video. The platform’s amazing features are fresh and new for the users.
