  • OnePlus has recently launched the OnePlus 15. It is so powerful that people are already comparing the OnePlus 15 Vs Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra. OnePlus 15 is special because OnePlus finally stopped working with Hasselblad and made their own camera system. It also has amazing battery life. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is not a latest launched as it came out in January 2025. It has the S Pen with a strong titanium body.

Both the OnePlus 15 Vs Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra are super advanced because of amazing displays and Snapdragon processors. In this article, we will look at their detailed comparison so that you can make an informed choice. Let’s get started:

Design and Build: OnePlus 15 vs Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Like I said, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is beautiful with a strong titanium frame. It’s also light at just 219grams and thinner than the S24 Ultra. You will see slim bezels, flat iconic design, and a small camera bump. It’s also IP68 rated. Samsung has really succeeded in making this durable and reliable. You will get multiple colour options for the S Pen, which fits neatly into the bottom of the phone.

The OnePlus 15 uses an aluminium frame, which makes it even lighter at 210 grams. It has a 6.78-inch display with a new rectangular camera bump in the top-left corner. This gives it an iPhone looking look. It also comes in multiple colour options with an IP69 rating, which is better. Both the OnePlus 15 vs Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra come with Gorilla Glass protection.

Winner: If you want the S-Pen, go for the S25 Ultra. If you are into durability and compact design, you can choose the OnePlus 15.

Display: OnePlus 15 vs Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

The S25 Ultra has a big 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X display with super-sharp QHD+ resolution. The refresh rate goes from 1 to 120Hz. You can adjust this depending on what you’re doing. It also supports HDR10+ and reaches 2,600 nits of brightness. The screen is flat, and the special anti-reflective layer reduces glare. It’s protected by Gorilla Armor 2.

The OnePlus 15 has a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED display. Its resolution is 1.5K with a super-fast 165Hz refresh rate. It is clearly faster than the S25 Ulta. It can also get incredibly bright at 4,500 nits. The bezels are only 1.15mm thin, giving the phone an immersive look. However, because the resolution is slightly lower, the pixel density is lower. This also does not have Samsung’s anti-glare coating.

Winner: The OnePlus 15 wins here thanks to its amazing refresh rate. But if you want the anti-glare coating, you can choose the S25 Ultra.

Performance and Storage: OnePlus 15 vs Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

OnePlus 15 vs Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

Both the OnePlus 15 vs Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra use powerful Snapdragon chips from Qualcomm. The clear winner is the OnePlus 15. This is because it comes with the newer Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. This chip is much faster. It is about 45% better in CPU performance and 40% better in graphics compared to last year’s models.

You will get 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. It can handle heavy games, lots of apps, and even AI tasks without slowing down. It also has a huge cooling system with a 5,731mm² vapor chamber. This helps keep the phone cool during long gaming or video-editing sessions. There are extra features like Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra uses a special Snapdragon 8 Elite (Gen 4 for Galaxy) chip. It’s slightly tuned for better graphics. Overall, it’s not as efficient as the OnePlus 15’s newer chip. The S25 Ultra comes with 12GB of RAM (or 16GB in higher models) and storage options from 256GB up to 1TB. Samsung also adds cool features, such as its Vulkan Engine for improved ray tracing in games. It doesn’t have an IR blaster like the OnePlus 15.

Winner: OnePlus 15 is the clear winner because of the new chip and better cooling.

    Software and Updates:

OnePlus 15 vs Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra

The OnePlus 15 comes with the amazing OxygenOS 16 on Android 15. The software is clean, smooth, and easy to customise. It also has new AI tools like Plus Mind. OnePlus promises 4 years of Android updates and 6 years of security updates.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra runs One UI 7 (and can upgrade to One UI 8 on Android 16). It has Galaxy AI features and works very well with other Galaxy devices. Samsung offers 7 years of Android updates and 7 years of security patches. This is one of the longest supports in the industry.

Winner: Galaxy S25 Ultra, because it lasts longer with updates.

    Camera Systems:

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is a true camera genius. It has four cameras on the back:

    Camera TypeResolutionPurpose / Strengths
    Main Camera200MPSuper-detailed photos
    Ultrawide Camera50MPWide landscapes, group shots
    Telephoto (3x)10MPClose-up optical zoom
    Periscope Telephoto (5x)50MPStrong long-range zoom
    Selfie Camera12MPSharp selfies
    Video Recording8K video at 30fps

The OnePlus 15 comes with three 50MP cameras:

    Camera TypeResolutionPurpose / Strengths
Main Camera50 MPGeneral photography with high detail
Ultrawide Camera50 MPWide landscapes and group shots
Periscope Telephoto (3.5x)50 MPOptical zoom for distant subjects
    Image ProcessingNatural and detailed photos

The OnePlus 15 doesn’t have a dedicated 5x zoom lens like Samsung. Anything above 3.5x relies on digital zoom which isn’t as clear. The 32MP selfie camera is bright and colourful. The 8K video looks good but Samsung’s zoom and AI features still make it more flexible.

Winner: S25 Ultra still has a slight upper edge here.

    Battery And Charging

The OnePlus 15 is amazing when it comes to battery life. With this, the phone can easily last up to two days with normal use.

Winner: OnePlus 15 by a huge margin.

    Final Word

In the end, the overall winner is the OnePlus 15. It is my personal favourite. It is a latest launch, comes with a huge battery, and is a true flagship. But, if you need the best cameras and long software support, you can go for S25 Ultra.

If you are more into strong performance, long gaming sessions, beautiful design, and OxygenOS 16, you are going to love the OnePlus 15. Let me know what you think about the latest OnePlus 15 in the comment section below. I would love to hear your thoughts.
