iPhone 13 Pro Max Review
You’d enjoy the iPhone 13 Pro Max if you always pick the best of the best, regardless of price. The iPhone 13 Pro Max is the result of when you get almost everything you could possibly want in a smartphone. This is the first time Apple has provided a 1TB iPhone, and the fact that there are four storage options for the same devices at the same time is remarkable. The notch is now both narrower and deeper. Apple’s new A15 Bionic SoC, which features two powerful CPU cores plus four more efficient cores, as well as an integrated five-core GPU and 16-core Neural Engine, is on the inside. The image signal processor has been enhanced considerably, according to Apple.
Let’s start the detailed iPhone 13 Pro Max review without any further ado.

iPhone 13 Pro Max Design and Build
When it comes to looks and design, the phone’s gleaming stainless steel sides, large camera housing with three sensors and Lidar, matte glass back, weight, and squared-off edges make it one of the most attractive handsets. It’ll get a lot of attention without any doubt. Not to mention the dazzling new sierra blue colour, which looks fantastic in person! The iPhone 13 Pro Max has the same flat sides as the iPhone 12 Pro Max, but it has a distinctive look. For starters, the camera array is larger than previously, taking up a little more space on the phone’s rear.
On the good side, Apple reduced the size of the notch on the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s display by 20% while keeping the same fundamental Face ID technology. It’s not a full-screen display, but it’s a step up from previous iPhones. I don’t understand why Apple bothered to reduce the notch because I still can’t see the battery indicator. But, who knows, maybe next year we won’t get a notch.

The phone is slightly thicker than the iPhone 12 Pro Max from last year. To make you feel better about it, there’s a bigger battery packed inside this time.
iPhone 13 Pro Max Display
Finally, iPhones can run at 120hz!! It also works like a charm. This 6.7-inch panel’s refresh rate may be dynamically scaled from 10Hz to 120Hz, resulting in smoother overall performance and visuals. It may go as low as 10Hz when seeing an image and as high as 120Hz when playing games that support 120Hz. The improved brightness of the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s display is another bonus. With the Adaptive option turned off, you will get an average of 837 nits and 1,038 nits with it turned on. This phone also features the maximum “typical” screen brightness of 1000 nits, surpassing the S21 Ultra’s 900 nits. Even in low-light situations, the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s display offers remarkable detail.
Broke Your Old Phone Screen?
The iPhone still has Ceramic Shield on the front, which is quite tough and robust but won’t protect the device from a hard fall. It’s also not scratch-resistant, so watch out for your keys brushing up against your iphone in your pocket. In addition, the notch has been decreased to the point that it no longer bothers me. It’s also big enough to comfortably play games and watch movies on at 6.7 inches. Definitely an excellent display.
iPhone 13 Pro Max Performance
The A15 Bionic chipset in the iPhone 13 Pro Max allows for faster and more consistent performance while using several apps, playing high-resolution games, and surfing the web. It’s incredibly quick, and it barely breaks a sweat in day-to-day activity. It also assures that, even after a few years, your iPhone will not become ‘slow’ or lag. Upgraders from the iPhone XS or iPhone XR will see a significant improvement in performance — yet those smartphones still have a powerful chipset.

Apple has presented a brand-new 5-core GPU that offers outstanding graphics performance. A 6-core CPU (two performance and four efficiency cores) offers truly outstanding performance. When it comes to gaming, the display and A15 Bionic chipset work together to create a fantastic experience. You won’t feel any lag or shutter even while playing on the best graphic settings. Your favourite graphics demanding games will run butter smooth on this iPhone, be it BGMI or COD: Mobile.
The iPhone 13 Pro Max is extremely fast, thanks to its new A15 Bionic CPU, and takes the label of the world’s fastest smartphone indeed.
iPhone 13 Pro Max Software
The new iPhone 13 Pro Max comes with iOS 15, which is a great update in and of itself. iOS 15 contains a number of new features, including the ability to initiate FaceTime conversations with Android users, improved iMessage sharing, and upgrades to Apple Maps, among others. It offers a much smoother user interface, thanks to a 120Hz refresh rate.
Check Out: All New Features of iOS 15
Notifications have been entirely revamped in iOS 15. People’s contact photographs will now appear in notifications, and app icons will be larger, making them simpler to identify. It also includes a new tool called Focus that helps users reduce distraction. A Focus can restrict notifications and Home Screen pages depending on what a user wants to focus on at any given time while keeping urgent messages to get through. SharePlay is also included in the new OS. It’s a new tool that enables users to share material such as Apple Music songs, TV episodes, and movies with one another during FaceTime calls. This does not end here, there are much more new features brought in by iOS 15.
iPhone 13 Pro Max Camera
The highlight of the iPhone 13 Pro Max – Cameras! There are huge improvements and multiple new features in the camera of the iPhone 13 pro max, as expected.
There’s a reason why the iPhone 13 Pro Max offers a larger camera setup. The f/1.8 aperture on the ultra-wide-angle lens has been increased, and a new sensor with autofocus has been added. According to Apple, the new sensor has a 92 per cent increase in light absorption. The ultra-wide catches four times the image with a 120-degree field of view. The images captured with the ultra-wide-angle lens are just stunning — the details, field of view, and colours are all perfect. Zooming on the iPhone 13 Pro Max has also been improved, with the telephoto lens on the iPhone 13 Pro Max now offering 3x optical zoom, up from 2.5x on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. Aside from the hardware, there are numerous software camera improvements.
Photographic styles are yet another new iPhone 13 camera feature that allows you to customise the tone and warmth of your images. Standard, rich contrast, colourful, warm, and cool are the options available. And you’re free to alter them as you want. Apple may have done so in order to give people a “different” look. It’s the best camera for portrait mode shots because it captures natural colours and detail even in low light (significant improvement). This year, even the ultra-wide camera is razor-sharp!
Cinematic and macro modes are excellent additions that work flawlessly. The Cinematic mode is similar to the Portrait mode for videos in which the video’s background will be blurred while recording. The iPhone 13 Pro Max offers ProRes video, a format used by video editors if you would like more creative control. You can record up to 30 fps in 4K in ProRes, but only the 256GB and above models support 4K; the 128GB model is restricted to 1080p in ProRes due to the large size of these files. In this selfie comparison with the iPhone 12 Pro Max, the iPhone 13 Pro Max’s larger sensor shines clearly. And iPhones have always been the best for videos, so there are no complaints there.
iPhone 13 Pro Max Battery
Now let’s talk about the battery, the thing you all and even I have been waiting for. The latest iPhone 13 Pro Max is a beast, with a battery capacity that is almost 1000mAh higher than last year’s 12 Pro Max. It can easily last two days of moderate use. Even if you play games and watch movies for hours, this would easily give a whole day of battery life. This performance was not expected from an iPhone, until now. I’ve never had an iPhone with such a long battery life before. One of the year’s most underrated upgrades, don’t pass on it, it’ll truly surprise you.
In addition, the A15 makes sure that this iPhone has exceptional battery life. Although we believed the iPhone 12 Pro Max offered a long battery life, the iPhone 13 Pro Max lasts about 2.5 hours longer. The battery life on this massive phone has been greatly improved by Apple. The situation on the charging side isn’t so good, as the iPhone 13 Pro Max only gets to 50% capacity after 30 minutes on a 20W UBC-C charger while competing with phones like the OnePlus 9 Pro and Xiaomi 11T Pro which can get to 100% in 30 minutes or less.
iPhone 13 Pro Max Audio, Connectivity, Biometrics
Although few people are aware of it, the iPhone 13 Pro Max boasts a new speaker system that is more bassy and louder than even the previous year’s iphone. You won’t believe how fantastic the sound is flowing from the phone’s speaker.
iPhone 13 Pro Max comes with various connectivity options such as 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G, mobile hotspot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and more. Face ID, LiDAR Scanner, Barometer, Three-axis gyro, Accelerometer, Proximity sensor, and Ambient light sensor are among the sensors on this new Apple smartphone. Apple still uses its Face ID technology to unlock the phone and we all want a fingerprint sensor to join in as well, hopefully, next year.
iPhone 13 Pro Max Pros & Cons
- 6.7-inch OLED display
- 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate
- A15 Bionic Chipset
- Excellent Cameras
- Cinematic video mode
- Excellent battery life
- No USB-C, still lightning
- Slow charging (20W)
- No fingerprint sensor
Despite its high price, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is an appealing buy due to Apple’s advances in camera and display technology. It’s possible that someone upgrading from the iPhone 12 Pro series will not find it to be of great “value.” However, Apple has made some minor but significant improvements to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, making it the best smartphone you can buy right now.
Superior cameras and video recording capabilities — including the very appealing Cinematic mode and macro mode — blistering performance, and a highly responsive 120Hz display are all the highlights of the latest iPhone 13 Pro Max.
Plus, this time around, the battery life is much better, and it’s among the greatest I’ve seen from a 5G flagship. Since there are no significant functional differences between the two handsets, some people may just prefer the iPhone 13 Pro because it is smaller and lighter. However, if you prefer a larger screen, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is the phone that comes closest to being perfect.
