Redmi has launched its first smartphone in 2021 for catering the budget-range segment. It is the successor of the Redmi Note 8 which was launched in 2019 and comes with much-improved specifications than its predecessor. The Redmi 9T is noticeably faster to handle and includes a re-positioned scanner for biometric authentication along with a hefty battery. Currently, the smartphone is available in Europe and will soon come into the Indian smartphone market. Apart from all this, there are other interesting features in the Redmi 9T. Xiaomi Redmi 9T price in India
Redmi has always launched solid devices in the market and maintained its reputation. Now what has been offered in the Redmi 9T is interesting to see. Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 9T in three variants, one with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, followed by the 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage and the 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The expected price of Redmk 9T in India is Rs.14,390. You can buy this device in four colours and those are Carbon Grey, Sunset Orange, Twilight Blue and Ocean green.
Xiaomi Redmi 9T features a pretty cool design on the rear side. The back panel is made of plastic material with a unique anti-fingerprint texture and two-tone finish along with the Redmi logo engraved on it. The quad-camera setup is present on the rectangular-shaped module along with LED flash. The front side features a Dot Drop display with minimum bezels at the bottom and sides.
The right side is included with the volume rockers and the fingerprint sensor, which also doubles up as a power button. For high-resolution audio, there are two speakers included in this device, one at the bottom and another at the top. Also, there is a Type-C charging port at the bottom. The top side comes with the IR blaster along with a 3.5mm headphone jack and the left side provides space for the SIM tray.
Despite the large battery inside, Redmi has still managed to achieve a respectful thickness of 9.6mm and 198 grams of weight, which is quite amazing. Also, the device is splash-proof.
There is a 6.53-in FHD+ dot drop display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and a contrast ratio of 1500:1 along with peak brightness of 400nits. Apart from supporting sunlight mode, the display of the Redmi 9T comes with TUV Rheinland certifications for filtering out the harmful blue light and supports Standard mode and Reading mode 2.0. All these features are there to make the visual experience entertaining.
Speaking of the chipset, Xiaomi Redmi 9T is powered by the Snapdragon 662, which is an 11nm octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. The Redmi 9T comes with two RAM options, 4GB and 6GB and there are two internal storage options, 64GB and 128GB. You do have the option for expanding the internal storage up to 512GB via MicroSD card. For enhancing the graphics, there is Adreno 610 GPU. All these specs are sufficient enough to provide lag-free performance.
As for the connectivity, this is a 4G smartphone and supports dual-4G SIM cards along with other features like GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo. The Redmi 9T runs on the MIUI 12, which is based on the Android 10.
Xiaomi has stuffed the Redmi 9T with a quad-camera camera setup on the rear. At the top, there is a 48MP main sensor with f/1.79 aperture and PDAF, followed by the 8MP ultra-wide sensor, featuring an aperture of f/2.2, a 2MP macro camera with an aperture of f/2.4 and along with a 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4. The rear camera setup supports 1080p video recording at 30fps.
On the front side, the smartphone is packed with 8MP selfie camera with an aperture of f/2.2 and supports 1080 pixel video recording at 30fps.
Under the hood, Redmi 9T confines a powerful 6000 mAh battery which is arguably the largest among the smartphones from this price range in the Indian smartphone market. The 6000 mAh battery is large enough for ensuring continuous usage for longer durations and claims 28 days of standby time, 56 hours of calling time, 17 hours of video playback time, and 195 hours of music playback time. This section is included with 18W fast charging and there is a Type-C charging port for connecting the charger.
