The Snapdragon 888 processor and a 4000mAh battery power the Asus Zenfone 8. The display and camera are also strong points for the smartphone. So, let’s check out all the details briefly before this device enters the Indian smartphone market.

Asus Zenfone 8 Price in India

Asus has launched the Zenfone 8 in four storage options including 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage, 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage and 16GB RAM + 256GB internal storage. Asus ZenFone 8 price starts at EUR 599 (Rs. 53,200) for the 6GB + 128GB storage variant. The base variant of the ZenFone 8 is available for purchase in Europe and Taiwan in Obsidian Black colour, while its Horizon Silver and Moonlight White colour options and other variants are available for pre-order at this moment. Details about Asus Zenfone 8 price in India and availability are yet to be revealed.

The major highlights in the design section include a 3.5mm headphone jack, IP68 Water and dust resistance along Gorilla Glass Victus on the front. The rear panel is curved and made of Gorilla Glass 3 and there is an Aluminium frame along with a matte finish, for offering extra grip.

You can easily hold this smartphone with one hand since the design is very compact. Built around a 5.9-inch screen, the Asus Zenfone 8 is only 9mm thick and weighs 169 grams. Overall, the device measures a bit taller and thicker than the iPhone 12 Mini, but it’s tinier than the Galaxy S21, making it the most compact Android Flagship we’ve seen so far this year.

Not only the compactness, Asus Zenfone 8 with its IP68 rating resists water and dust particles and there is an in-display fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication. The bottom side comes with a Type-C charging port, speaker grille, notification LED and SIM tray. While the right side features the volume rocker along with the power button.

Asus Zenfone 8 features a 5.9-inch screen, which is a small and compact display in comparison to the iPhone 12, which comes with a 6.1-inch screen. The Asus Zenfone 8 display comes with all the latest features like a Super AMOLED panel and the most important feature, which is the 120Hz refresh rate. Not only this, there is support for HDR10+, Delta-E<1 colour accuracy and 1100nits of peak brightness. Overall, the display is very nice and compact along with a small punch-hole on the top side.

Asus has installed the current best Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset in this device for offering great performance along with the Adreno 660 GPU. The RAM options range from 6GB to 16GB, while the storage option ranges from 128GB to 256GB.

It is based on Zenfone UI, which is very identical to Stock Android and gives a similar feel as well. Speaking of connectivity, the Asus Zenfone 8 supports 5G and has got Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, which means, the device doesn’t lack anything in terms of connectivity.

When it comes to multimedia, the Asus Zenfone 8 has got dual-stereo speakers, since Asus is known for its audio and speaker quality. However, the multimedia experience on this smartphone with a 5.9-inch screen will be a little different than the Asus Zenfone 8 Flip.

The camera setup is conventional here in comparison to the Asus Zenfone 8 Flip. Asus Zenfone 8 features a 64MP dual-rear camera setup, featuring a 64MP main sensor along with a 12MP ultra-wide camera. The main camera comes with the OIS feature, which is missing in the Asus Zenfone 8 Flip camera setup. on the front, there is a 12MP Sony IMX663 sensor with Dual PD autofocus.

There is a 4000 mAh battery under the hood and for the 5.9-inch screen, it’s a decent battery, enough for providing a battery backup for the whole day. Also, Asus Zenfone 8 supports 30W fast charging, which means you’ll be able to refill the battery up to 60% within 25 minutes. However, there is no wireless charging, which should have been included in this flagship device.

A compact flagship device is very rare in the Android world and when you look at the Zenfone 8, it packs the entire top of the line flagship features. Asus Zenfone 8 is a fantastic phone that works admirably, looks fantastic, and feels fantastic with its efficient processor and a stunning display along with other features. If it’s priced in between 40k to 50K in India, then surely this would be the best choice for those looking for a flagship device.
