LG W31 Plus

The Korean smartphone manufacturer LG launched its new W series in the Indian smartphone market, aiming to make available a rich multimedia experience to a vast number of users.  LG introduced multiple devices in this line-up and among those the LG W31 Plus belongs to the affordable section and features huge onboard storage, which is a feature of mid-range smartphones and other interesting specs. Here is a brief review of this latest device from LG for getting better insights.

LG W31 Plus Price in India

LG W31 Plus comes from the budget-range category and there is a single variant of it launched throughout the globe with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The smartphone is available in the Midnight Blue colour and retails for Rs.12,199, as per the latest pricing on the official site of LG.  

Speaking about the design of the LG W31 Plus, the smartphone looks a lot more like other devices from the same price bracket, featuring a colourful plastic rear panel. Although the smartphone body is made of plastic, the glossy layout blending into the smartphone’s surface offers a premium and an elegant look to it. Here the fingerprint has been placed at the back along with a vertical camera module housing a triple-camera setup. Below the camera module, there is an LED flash as well.

The LG W31 Plus measures 166.2mm in length, 76.3mm in width and 8.4mm in thickness. On the front, you will see a thick chin at the bottom and a water-drop notch at the top. The left edge consists of the Google Assistant button, while the right side features the volume rockers and the power button. The bottom side comes with a speaker grille, a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a USB 2.0.  

LG W31 Plus is crammed with a 6.52-inch Super FulVision screen with an aspect ratio of 20:9 for ensuring a cinematic view. The IPS display features a resolution of 720 pixels along with 85% screen-to-body ratio.

For powering the device, The LG W31+ features the MediaTek Helio P22, which is an octa-core processor with 2.0GHz clock speed. For tracking every detail in your life, The LG W31+ offers 128GB internal storage and the 4GB RAM. Also, the storage can be extended up to 512GB via microSD card. On the software front, there is Android 10 out of the box for ensuring a swift interface for running this device. In terms of connectivity, the LG W31 Plus supports dual VoLTE.  

LG W31+ features a 13MP triple-camera setup on the rear side, offering a 13MP main camera, a 2MP depth sensor and a 5MP ultra-wide-angle lens. Looking at the front, there is an 8MP selfie camera under the water-drop notch. The smartphone is provided with LED flash for lighting purposes. So this is just a basic camera setup that is common in this price range and there is nothing more to expect.

LG W31 Plus draws its power from a 4000 mAh massive battery, which according to the company is sufficient to provide 15 days of standby, 26 hours of calling, 9 hours of videos and 30 hours of music. The charging port that has been included with the LG W31+ is USB 2.0. Although there is a huge battery, it will take you a lot of time for refilling the battery as there is no fast charging option available.    

Overall, the LGW31 Plus is a decent budget-range smartphone with a huge battery and ample internal storage. However there is no fast charging and the processor offers an average performance, which doesn’t make this smartphone a good one to go with. If you wish to have enough internal storage at a pocket-friendly price and you don’t have any issue with the chipset, then you can go with the LG.
