Oppo A53s 5G launched in India as a successor to the A53 5G that launched in December last year. It comes with a notched display with slim bezels on the sides but a relatively thick chin. In addition, it carries a triple rear camera setup and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. Moreover, it is not only the most affordable 5G smartphone from the brand in the country. In addition, it is the most affordable 5G phone in the Indian market at the moment.

Pricing, Availability

Oppo A53s 5G is available in two colour options as well as two RAM and storage configurations. Its’ price in India is Rs 14,990 for the base variant which has 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Additionally, there is also an 8GB+128GB model on offer and it costs Rs 16,990.

Furthermore, OPPO A53s 5G will go on sale in India on May 2nd at 12:00 PM exclusively from Flipkart. You can get a Rs 1,250 discount on the smartphone if you make the payment through HDFC Bank credit and debit cards. There is also a 5% discount on the phone with the Flipkart Axis Bank credit card.

Oppo A53s 5G Specifications

It features a 6.5-inch display with HD+ resolution with a standard 60Hz refresh rate. According to the brand, the screen has a 480 nits brightness. For privacy and security, the device has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, OPPO A53s 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC and Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. It comes with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Moreover, it is expandable via a dedicated microSD card (up to 1TB).


In terms of optics, Oppo A53s 5G features a triple rear camera setup that includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter with an f/2.4 aperture. On the front, there is an 8-megapixel sensor with an f/2.0 lens for selfies and video calls housed in a notch.

OPPO A53s 5G packs a 5,000mAh battery and it supports 10W charging. As mentioned earlier, the phone supports the 5G cellular network.

Connectivity options on the Oppo A53s 5G include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth v5, and a USB Type-C port for charging. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.
