Xiaomi has officially brought its new Redmi 17 series to India, expanding its popular smartphone lineup with new 5G models aimed at buyers looking for better performance and modern features. The Redmi 17 series India launch includes two models, with both phones positioned in the mid-range segment.
The new models, Xiaomi Redmi 17 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 17 Pro, arrive with Snapdragon processors and multiple RAM and storage options. However, their pricing marks a noticeable increase compared with the previous generation, making the new phones more expensive than many Redmi fans may have expected.
Redmi 17 And Note 17 Pro Prices In India
The Redmi 17 5G will be available in India with a starting price of Rs. 39,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage model. Buyers can also choose the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, which carries a price tag of Rs. 41,999. However, Xiaomi is offering much lower net effective prices of Rs. 23,999 and Rs. 26,999 for the two variants, respectively.
The Redmi 17 5G will officially go on sale in India from September 10 through Amazon and Xiaomi’s online store. The smartphone will be available in three colour options: Absolute Black, Endless Blue and Eternal Orange.

These prices represent a significant jump over the previous generation. The Redmi 15 5G originally launched at Rs. 14,999 for its 6GB + 128GB variant, although its current price has already increased to Rs. 21,499.
