Sony Confirms PS5 To Be Restocked In India On May 27, Here’s How To Secure One

Pre-orders for the Sony PS5 began on May 17 at a Sony store. The PlayStation 5 will be open for pre-order again on Thursday, May 27 at 12 p.m. (noon), just ten days afterward the last pre-orders went live. The PlayStation 5 listings on Sony Center (ShopAtSC) is the only re-stock of their console. The new PS5 came to India in February of this year. Since February, several retailers such as Amazon, Croma, Reliance Digital, Flipkart, and others have not reported any PlayStation 5 restocks.

PS5 Restock

Restocks for the PlayStation 5 have arrived earlier than anticipated. Pre-orders begin on May 27 at 12 p.m. (noon). Note that Sony Center only lists the PlayStation 5 disc model, with no indication of the PlayStation 5 digital edition. According to the Sony Center homepage, pre-orders placed on May 27 will be processed from June 7. Though delays are possible due to local COVID-19 regulations on non-essential product shipments. Given the short time between pre-orders, reports indicate that the two batches may have been part of the same import shipment as those announced on Monday, May 17.

Sony Center also confirms that people who have already purchased a PlayStation 5 through their website will not be able to buy another. This limitation applies even though you previously purchased a PS5 Digital Edition. On Thursday, May 27, the one-unit limit will also apply to all new PS5 pre-orders. For what it’s worth, you can purchase various accessories and games. To purchase the PS5, ShopAtSC, like most other online retailers would need you to make an account.

The PlayStation 5 was sold out in just a few minutes when pre-orders went live during the May 17 restock. The Sony Centre India platform had both models available. The digital as well as disc models of the console for Rs 39,990 and Rs 49,990, respectively. The PS5 came into the country for the first time in February 2021. It’s also worth noting that the Sony Center is an authorized Sony third-party distribution partner. This means that the sale of consoles shouldn’t be mistaken for an official restock from the company. Pre-orders that were successfully put on May 17 may expect deliveries to begin on May 24.
