Apple’s WWDC 2021: 5 Things to expect

At WWDC 2021, we foresee a slew of hardware and software updates. Let’s look at them:

1. Apple iOS 15

The most eagerly anticipated announcements should revolve around forthcoming iPhone software updates. In iOS 15, Apple will outline both major and minor improvements, as well as a major interface redesign.  More customizable options for the iOS home screen are rumored to be coming, including an always-on mode, an updated control center, new widgets, and a redesigned settings menu. iOS 15 will not be available for iPhones until September until the next-generation iPhones are officially announced. Not all iPhones running iOS 14 will be eligible for the update. In this cycle, the 6-series is likely to be dropped. Users may, however, wait for official confirmation.

2. macOS 12

Since Apple has launched a new macOS version each year for the past decade, MacOS 12 will be part of the big releases at WWDC 2021. Since there have been some leaks about macOS 12, it’s likely to be a small maintenance upgrade.

3. watchOS 8

With its smartwatch range, Apple currently has a significant lead, but we expect software updates to continue to roll out. According to rumors, this year will bring new features for tracking mental wellbeing. The heart rate detector and oximeter may be able to track stress and identify panic attacks as a result of these improvements. A new blood sugar monitor has already been in development for some time and is expected to be released this year.

4. New Macbook Pro

Jon Prosser, a well-known leaker, says that the Macbook Pro will be unveiled at WWDC 2021. According to reports, Apple is working on two Macbook Pro models (14-inch and 16-inch) with two processor options. More ports, such as an HDMI port, SD card slot, and new MagSafe charging port, are likely to return with the new Pro models.
