Sony has launched the Sony WF-1000 XM4, a set of new true wireless earbuds. Advanced features in the Sony WF-1000XM4 include Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), Sony’s newest V1 processor, Hi-Res Audio capabilities, and more. These are also the world’s first true wireless earbuds that support the high-resolution LDAC Bluetooth codec, as well as other premium features like active noise cancellation (ANC) and Qi wireless charging for the case. It is available for purchase through Sony’s official website, Amazon, and other sites.

Sony WF-1000XM4 Pricing
The Sony WF-1000XM4 TWS earbuds cost $279 (about Rs. 20,400), putting them up against the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro and Apple AirPods Pro. Beginning in June 2021, the earbuds will be available for purchase. In the next days, specific availability could be announced in some markets, such as the EU, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
Sony has yet to reveal pricing and availability for India, but the new earbuds are expected to arrive in the country in the coming weeks.

Sony WF-1000 XM4 Specifications and Features
New 6mm driver units with 20% bigger magnets are used in the wireless earbuds. The company claims the latest V1 chip will provide the best level of noise cancellation while consuming the least amount of battery. Unlike Sony’s previous generation, the chip includes both Bluetooth and noise canceling. The earbuds have a newly designed wind detection sensor that can activate the wind noise reduction feature automatically when necessary.
It is also Hi-Res Audio certified and supports Sony’s LDAC Bluetooth codec. In addition, the earbuds feature the company’s DSEE Extreme technology as well as Sony’s 360 Reality Audio technology. If you wish to listen to your surroundings or communicate to someone close, you can use the Ambient Sound mode.

Some of the other features are Qi wireless charging for the case, IPX4 water resistance, and up to 24 hours of battery life with ANC on (8 hours on the earbuds, 16 hours from the case). The earbuds will be available in two colors: black and silver. Fast pairing compatibility for Android and Windows 10 is another feature of the Sony WF-1000XM4. Users can use the Sony earbuds to summon virtual assistants as well.
