  • Monday is a big day for Apple fans. WWDC 2026 kicks off, and Siri is the main character this year. Apple has owed its users a better Siri for a long time. Siri Features have improved a lot over the years and now focus on natural conversation. The upgraded version was promised over a year ago, then quietly delayed, then delayed again. Monday is when Apple finally has to show its cards.

Top Siri Features To Expect At WWDC 2026

    Siri Features

If the leaks are correct, iOS 27 could finally make Siri feel smart, fast, and actually useful. So, lets take a look at the top Siri feautures which are expected:

Siri Is Getting Its Own App

This has never happened before. Siri gets a dedicated app on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. You can start new conversations, ask questions, and actually go back to old chats and continue them. That alone is a bigger deal than it sounds right now Siri has no memory of what you asked it five minutes ago.

The gesture to open Siri is also changing. Swipe down from the top center of your iPhone and you get a new “Search or Ask” screen. Weather, calendar shortcuts, app suggestions, and Siri all live there. The notification shade moves to the top left to make room. Muscle memory will take a hit for a few weeks but it looks like a cleaner setup overall.

The Google Deal Is Real and It Is Big

    Siri Features

Here is the thing nobody expected. Siri is now running on Google’s AI. Specifically a custom 1.2 trillion parameter Gemini model. Apple is reportedly paying Google $1 billion a year for it, and most of the processing happens on Google’s servers.

That last part is going to bother a lot of people. Apple has built its entire brand around privacy. Sending Siri queries to Google’s infrastructure is a significant shift from that position.

But the capability jump is real. Anyone who has used Gemini on an Android phone knows how far ahead it is compared to the old Siri. The assistant that used to shrug and open Safari is being replaced by something that actually answers questions.

    Personal Context Is Finally Shipping

Apple showed this feature at WWDC 2024. Then it ran a whole ad campaign around it starring Bella Ramsey. Then it pulled the ad in March 2025 and admitted the feature was delayed. Two years later, it is finally arriving.

Personal context lets Siri look inside your own apps to answer questions about your life. Mail, Messages, Photos, Notes, Files, Calendar, Reminders, and supported third-party apps are all fair game. Ask Siri what time your lunch is with your mom and it checks your calendar. Ask who you had a meeting with at a specific place two months ago and it digs through your emails and contacts to find the name.

It sounds simple. In practice it is the feature that makes Siri actually useful as a personal assistant rather than a fancy web search button.

The text dump is gone. When you ask Siri something like a sports score, the weather, a news story, a person and it shows a rich visual card through the Dynamic Island instead of reading out a paragraph. The same card format works for your personal data too. Ask about an upcoming appointment and you see a clean card with the details, not a sentence buried in the interface.

You can also stack requests now. One prompt, multiple tasks. Ask Siri to send a message, check a stock, get the weather, and add something to your calendar all at once. It handles everything from that single instruction.

    When You Can Try It

Apple almost always drops the first developer beta the same evening as the keynote. If you are on the Apple Beta Software Program, iOS 27 developer beta 1 could be on your phone by Monday night. If you are not, September is when the stable release hits everyone else.

This is the Siri that Apple should have shipped a year ago. Monday will tell us whether it was worth the wait. With iOS 27, Siri Features are expected to become more useful in daily tasks.
