REDMI 15c 5G Design and Build
REDMI 15c 5G has a large body measuring 173.2 x 81.1 x 8.2 mm. Still, you can perfectly grab it with a single hand. But it has an average weight of 211 grams, which can cause wrist fatigue when held for long periods.

Apart from this, its back design can grab your attention with its glossy polycarbonate finish. Moreover, I’m using its blue colour and rippling texture to enhance its visibility from the back.

Overall, the finish looks amazing, and the edge perfect rounded. The camera layout looks a little oversized, but the lenses do not protrude from the body, so they lie perfectly on flat surfaces.

Brand also added an IP64 rating for dust-tight and water-resistant (water splashes).

Talking about the REDMI 15c 5G ports, it has a power button along with a fingerprint scanner, and a volume button on the right side. The SIM tray is placed on the left side of the body.

At the bottom, you can see a strip of speaker, a microphone, a 3.5mm jack, and a Type-C jack for charging.
REDMI 15c 5G Camera
REDMI 15c 5G comes with a dual-sensor setup: a 50MP wide-angle lens and an auxiliary lens. So, technically, it has a single camera setup on the back.

I clicked a lot of images with the REDMI 15c 5G during the review; the images are just good to go. Considering the price point, you also cannot expect much clarity from this.

The colours are bright and strong. You can see pictures of flowers with vibrant, pleasing colours. I can’t make any claims about dynamic range or depth because this phone has none.

But when it comes to comparing other phones’ camera quality to this one, I can say REDMI took the lead. I’m saying this because recently I used the Samsung Galaxy M07 and the Realme C61.

It has native 2x zoom in the normal camera, while no zoom capability in portrait mode. I clicked a few images in portrait mode where the edges look sharp, and the colours are also ok.

During the REDMI 15c 5G review, I took multiple selfies with the 8MP front camera.

It takes good selfies in plenty of light, but the quality is not great in the dark. For video recording, you can make videos in 1080p at 30 frames per second.
REDMI 15c 5G Battery and Charging
REDMI 15c 5G comes with a huge 6000mAh battery for long-lasting battery life. I got around 9 hours of SOT (Screen on time) on this after moderate use. If you use this only for calling and other light tasks, you can expect 1.5 to 2 days of battery life on a single charge.

The phone has a long-lasting battery, so you can use it all day for social media, videos, and games without needing to charge it. The screen has a 720p resolution, which also helps the battery last longer.

I got a 33W charger with a box. During the REDMI 15c 5G review, I measured its charging time, and it took 1 hour and 18 minutes to charge fully. On the other hand, the brand claim to to maintain 80% or more capacity after 1,000 full charge cycles.
REDMI 15c 5G Display
The REDMI 15c 5G has a large 6.9-inch IPS LCD screen. I think this is very important for smartphone users, especially beginners. Students and older people often watch more YouTube videos to help with their studies or to stay updated on the news, and a large screen makes it easier for them to see everything.

This phone comes with a 120Hz refresh rate for fast display scrolling. Considering the price, I’d love a 120Hz refresh rate, while most of the brand’s models stick to 60Hz or 90Hz. On the other hand, it has an 810 nits (HBM) brightness for perfect visibility even in bright conditions.

The Redmi 15C 5G display sticks to a basic HD+ (720 x 1600 pixels) resolution with a 20:9 aspect ratio and a 254 ppi density, which is decent for everyday tasks but lacks sharpness.
You also get Mohs level 6 protection for added durability. However, the large notch is clearly visible, making the front look slightly outdated and less immersive compared to modern punch-hole displays.
REDMI 15c 5G Performance
REDMI 15c 5G comes with the Mediatek Dimensity 6300 (6 nm) chipset for smooth performance. I was totally impressed with its performance considering its price range. I never felt any heating issue during the REDMI 15c 5G review. Plus, I even played a lot of games, Clash of Clans, Real Cricket, and mostly I played Freefire. Freefire was smooth, never felt any lag issues during intense fights, even after a long session.

Yes. You cannot play BGMI because you need a better chipset and software optimisation to run the game’s high-quality graphics. Honestly, I never wanted to have high-end games in this phone, considering the price.
This phone has UFS 2.2 type storage, which is also good for fast data transfer and saving battery life. It even helps to run multiple apps in the background at the same time.

I also ran several Benchmark tests on the REDMI 15c 5G to assess its performance across different aspects. Its Geekbench scores are 731 in single-core and 1940 in multi-core. No CPU throttling detected in my test. Moreover, its Antutu score is 580459. The 3DMark Wildlife Extreme Stability Stress Test has an overall score of 98.7%.
REDMI 15c 5G Software and UI
The REDMI 15c 5G comes with Android 15 based on HyperOS 2. This phone will get up to 2 major Android upgrades, which is pretty decent.

Overall UI is impressive; the app’s opening and closing animations look cool.

But due to a lack of proper software optimisation, you will see some lag when opening or closing apps, or when sliding app widgets.

Moreover, it comes with a lot of bloatware, such as multiple games (Jewel Blast, Carrom, Block Blast), Netflix, Share Market, Snapchat, etc. So, I would suggest uninstalling them as soon as possible; otherwise, it will slow down your phone after multiple updates.

It also has a few AI features like AI-enhanced photography with its 50MP camera, Google Gemini integration, and “Circle to Search” functionality, bringing flagship-level AI tools to a budget 5G device.
The Redmi 15C 5G is a solid entry-level 5G phone that focuses on what truly matters for budget users. It has a big display, long battery life, and reliable day-to-day performance. It handles casual gaming and daily tasks smoothly, making it a practical choice for students and light users. However, the HD+ resolution, visible notch, and software bloat remind you of the compromises made. Overall, it’s a value-for-money option if your priorities are battery and screen size over a premium experience
