  • OnePlus Nord 6 Price in India and Variants

The OnePlus Nord 6 price starts at around Rs 38,999 in India for the basic model. The price can go up to Rs 41,999 for versions with more RAM and storage. This smartphone comes in two options: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage and 12GB RAM with 256GB storage.

It is aimed at people looking for a good mid-range phone. The launch offers include a Rs 3,000 discount for banks, bonuses for trading in old phones, and easy payment plans with no extra costs. This makes it one of the best value deals from OnePlus in a while.

OnePlus Nord 6 Design and Build

OnePlus Nord 6 features an amazing design, with a new camera layout on the back. I’m using Quick Silver colour, which looks amazing, and there is a very fine, wavy design along the edge of the phone that makes it even more attractive.

    OnePlus Nord 6 design

Its back and frame are made of durable plastic that won’t easily break from accidental drops, thanks to the military-grade MIL-STD-810H standard. Its in-hand feel is amazing; despite its large design, it fits perfectly in a single hand.

    camera design

During the OnePlus Nord 6 review, one minor issue I noticed is that it attracts fingerprint smudges, but that’s not a significant concern. You can easily use a protective cover to mitigate this.

    back design

This phone weighs 217 grams and has body dimensions of 162.5 x 77.5 x 8.5 mm.

    side

OnePlus also added an IP68/IP69K rating for dust-tight and water-resistant. So, it can resist high-pressure water jets and is immersible up to 1.5m for 30 min.

    side

Talking about ports, it comes with a volume button and a power button on the right side. Its left side has a “Plus Key” that is customisable for Plus to mind space, Sound & Vibration, Do Not Disturb, camera, Torch, Recorder, Translate, Screen Shot, and None.

    top bottom

At the top of the phone are a secondary speaker, a microphone, and an IR blaster. A speaker strip, a Type-C slot, a microphone, and a SIM tray are placed at the bottom.

    OnePlus Nord 6 Camera

The OnePlus Nord 6 has a great camera. I wouldn’t call it a special camera phone, but I can’t ignore how unique this setup feels. It features a 50MP wide-angle and an 8MP ultra-wide sensor with OIS support.

I captured amazing colours across multiple scenarios, accurate sky tones, improved yellow tones in flowers, and even rich reds in brick textures.

However, OnePlus still needs to improve skin tone accuracy and depth. I noticed a slight lack of depth in rear, along with some colour inconsistency.

That said, portrait mode does an excellent job. Edge detection is impressive, even in complex scenes.

    rear camera rear camera

I clicked multiple flower shots in portrait mode, and despite many similar subjects in the same frame, the phone delivered clean, accurate edges.

rear camerarear cameraI used the OnePlus Nord 6’s front camera during the review and took a lot of selfies. It worked really well in both normal and portrait modes, even for group selfies. This phone does a great job keeping skin tones and contrast looking good.

    OnePlus Nord 6 front camera

I also recorded a few videos with the rear camera in 4K at 30fps; the quality is good, and audio capture even in public is satisfactory. However, you will need more light to get perfect shots at night, otherwise you will notice grains in your videos. The same applies to the front camera.

OnePlus Nord 6 Battery and Charging

Battery life and performance are the top selling points of the OnePlus Nord 6. So, it comes with a 9,000 mAh battery. This phone offers up to 2.5 days of usage on a single charge. It offers multiple battery modes, including balance, power-saving, and high-performance. It helps last longer with use.

    OnePlus Nord 6 battery

I could not test the exact SOT (screen-on time) timing, but it can last almost 25 hours for YouTube and 14 to 15 hours for gaming. One funny thing happened during the OnePlus Nord 6 review. I was draining its battery to check the exact charging time, and the last 2% let me watch 45 minutes of reels. At some point, I felt exhausted trying to figure out why it wasn’t switching off automatically. So, hats off to OnePlus for doing a great job even after a year full of roller coasters.

    OnePlus Nord 6 charger

I got an 80W fast charger out of the box, and it took exactly 1 hour and 18 minutes to charge from 0 to 100 per cent. This phone also has 27W reverse wired to help charge your smartwatches and earbuds, and can even charge your phone. It also supports bypass charging, a great feature for gamers, to power your phone directly from the charger, skipping the battery.

    OnePlus Nord 6 Display

The OnePlus Nord 6 comes with a 6.78-inch Sunburst AMOLED (Flex) display with a resolution of 1272 x 2772 pixels. This phone also has a 165Hz refresh rate for fast display scrolling and smooth day-to-day activities.

I also watched a few high-resolution videos, and the experience felt immersive thanks to HDR10+ support.

On top of that, the display feels very fluid when switching between apps, scrolling through social media, or even gaming. The high refresh rate really helps maintain consistency, especially during fast-paced use. Touch response also feels quick and accurate, which adds to the overall smooth experience.

    refresh rate

You can also use it in bright conditions, with a typical brightness of 800 nits and a peak brightness of 1800 nits. Even under direct sunlight, the screen remains readable, and colours don’t wash out easily. The panel also maintains good contrast, which helps while watching darker scenes or HDR content.

    refresh rate

OnePlus used the same panel as the OnePlus 15, so you will get the same flagship experience on this phone without spending too much money. On top of that, the display has good colour tuning; it doesn’t look overly saturated, and it doesn’t feel dull either. This balance makes it reliable for both content consumption and daily use.

This phone also features Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection to safeguard its display from accidental damage.

    OnePlus Nord 6 Performance

Performance is one of the top segments of this phone. OnePlus Nord 6 comes with a near-flagship-level Qualcomm SM8735 Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 (4 nm) chipset. So, I would say this is not a typical midrange chip. It’s a “flagship-lite” processor. Qualcomm basically took flagship-level power and made it more efficient and affordable. This chip is built on a 4nm process for better efficiency, and the Adreno 825 GPU helps in gaming.

    OnePlus Nord 6 gaming

Last week, I played a lot of BGMI and Asphalt 9, even on weekends. I played BGMI for four hours straight, one of the longest sessions of my life. I didn’t feel any lag even after this type of excessive gaming, and I even improved my KD, haha. One more thing that surprised me was that I could not feel any warmth or frame drop during gameplay.

I am not a gamer, but if you play games on your phone, you should consider getting the 27W Ice-Cooled Magnetic Back Clip. This clip is great for people who use their phones for a long time. It helps keep your phone cool with a special TEC chip and a turbo fan.

This is very helpful when you are playing games, watching videos, or having long phone calls. It connects easily to the Nord 6 phone and works with other devices too, so your phone stays cool when you need it!

It also comes with UFS 4.1 storage, which enables fast data transfer, helps save battery life, and allows multiple apps to run in the background without lag or glitches.

So, Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 is not the most powerful chip, but it’s one of the smartest. OnePlus Nord 6 delivers near-flagship performance, better efficiency, and strong gaming without pushing the price too high. It gives you almost everything you need, without paying flagship money.

    OnePlus Nord 6 benchmarks

I also ran several Benchmark tests on the OnePlus Nord 6 to assess its performance across different aspects. Its Geekbench scores are 2057 in single-core and 6542 in multi-core. The maximum in the CPU throttling test is 87 per cent. Moreover, its Antutu score is 2381137. The 3D Mark Wildlife Extreme Stress Test for stability has an overall score of 48.9%.

OnePlus Nord 6 Software and UI

The OnePlus Nord 6 comes with Android 16 on top of Oxygen OS 16, with the brand promising four major Android updates and six years of security patches, ensuring support through 2032. Overall, my user experience is excellent, and the animations are eye-catching.

    Android 16 Oxygen OS 16

Opening and closing apps are very smooth. On the homepage, you can view recently opened apps, the calendar in a box, and you can place your most opened apps elsewhere.

    UI UI

In the in-app widgets, you can see an A-to-Z scrolling scene with sections organised by category, where you will find apps in categories such as social, finance, and entertainment. You will also get a dynamic island for notifications, music, calls, and other features to enhance your daily usage.

    UI AI

OnePlus Nord 6 comes with several AI features as well. These features include AI Eraser, AI Unblur, AI Portrait Glow, real-time translation/summarisation, AI Ghostwriter, and personalised Google Gemini integration.

    Verdict

After using this phone for a week, I can clearly say the OnePlus Nord 6 feels like a flagship in many ways without actually being priced like one. The performance, battery life, and display are easily the biggest highlights here.

Yes, the camera still has some room for improvement, especially in skin tones and depth, but it still delivers good results in most situations. If your priorities are performance, battery life, and a smooth overall experience, this is easily one of the most value-for-money midrange phones right now.
