Vivo V70 FE Design and Display

The Vivo V70 FE has an eye-catching design with a plastic back and frame, yet it still feels quite appealing in hand.

    Vivo V70 FE design

I’m personally using the Muse Purple colour, which stands out beautifully thanks to the elegant rippling wave pattern on the back panel.

    back panal

The camera design also feels thoughtfully done. Taking cues from other V series phones, it features a vertical alignment with a subtle bump that enhances the overall aesthetics rather than detracting from them.

Vivo has also smartly placed the “200MP OIS Cam” branding at the centre of the Aura Light, giving the module a more premium and balanced look.

    top side

Talking about ports, it has power and volume buttons on the right side, while the top has an IP blaster, a microphone, and a secondary speaker. At the bottom of the phone are a Type-C port, a microphone, a SIM tray, and a speaker grille.

In Vivo V70 FE first impression: the display is also one of the considerations for those looking to buy a phone with a giant display. It has a 6.83 inches AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

    dsiplay

Furthermore, it comes with 1900 nits of (HBM) brightness, which is fine for normal usage, but you can not watch something bright because sun reflection prevent to focus on the screen.

    Vivo V70 FE video quality

I personally watched a few videos in direct sunlight. But one thing I liked most was the display, which supports HDR10+. It allows users to watch high-quality videos on OTT platforms and YouTube as well.

Vivo V70 FE Camera and Battery

I’m honestly a bit confused while writing the camera section for the Vivo V70 FE first impressions. Given its price, the camera performance feels disappointing.

I clicked a lot of images, and I consistently noticed issues with dynamic range. The photos also lack depth, which detracts from the overall output, even though the colours look good and fairly well balanced.

What makes this more frustrating is my experience with the Vivo V60. I used it extensively during a friend’s wedding, and the results were genuinely impressive across different lighting conditions. That comparison is hard to ignore.

The V70 FE is priced higher, yet the V60 not only looks better on paper but also delivers better real-world results. Because of this, it genuinely feels like the V70 FE is a step down despite its higher price tag, making the whole experience a bit underwhelming.

    camera sample

When I used the front camera of the Vivo V70 FE, I took a lot of selfies. It worked really well in both normal and portrait modes, even for group selfies. This phone does a great job keeping skin tones and contrast looking good.

Honestly, I haven’t tested the Vivo V70 FE in a loop to determine the exact battery capacity. But it comes with a 7000 mAh battery capacity, which can easily last a full day on a single charge.

    Vivo V70 FE charger

I got a 90W charger with the box, and it can charge the phone 100 per cent in just 60 minutes.

Vivo V70 FE Performance And Software

Vivo V70 FE comes with Mediatek Dimensity 7360 Turbo (4 nm) for daily drivers. But I’m stuck here to seeing price and chipset correlation. I was expecting to have at least Mediatek Dimensity 8350, considering the price, where I have seen multiple phones like OnePlus Nord CE 5,Motorola Edge 60 Pro, Realme P3 Ultra, and even in Lava Agni 4. All these phones are priced under 30,000. There is a point that Chipset prices are increasing due to shortages and high demand from AI.

In reality, Dimensity 7360 Turb sits in the Dimensity 7000 series (upper mid-range), not the premium tier. It’s basically a refreshed Dimensity 7300, not a big upgrade. If you compare the 7360 Turbo vs. the 8350, you will realise the real gap. The Dimensity 8350 has a 40% higher AnTuTu score, 30-40% better CPU performance, and much stronger GPU and memory bandwidth. So, this is not a small difference, and it’s a full tier jump.

    Vivo V70 FE gaming

While I’m writing Vivo V70 FE first impressions, I have not played many games or tested it at its peak level. I just used it normally, like watching videos, scrolling through social media, and sometimes playing BGMI or Asphalt 9. Let’s see in the future how it performs in the future.

I also ran several Benchmark tests on the Vivo V70 FE to assess its performance across different aspects. Its Geekbench scores are 3411 in single-core and 10021 in multi-core. The maximum in the CPU throttling test is 66 per cent. Moreover, its Antutu score is 3483365. The 3DMark Wildlife Extreme Stability Test has an overall score of 71.7%.

    vivo v70 FE benchmarks

Vivo V70 FE runs on Android 16 based on Origin OS 6. It has a cleaner look and a newer design, similar to the Dynamic Island feature on iOS.

    Android 16

You can change app widgets, wallpaper, system style, and the home screen to fit your taste.

    Vivo V70 FE UIUI

But it comes with a lot of bloatware, including Blockbuster, Amazon, Netflix, Spotify, and many system apps. You can uninstall an unused app or disable it from settings. Overall, the UI experience is smooth.

    Verdict

While writing the first impression of the Vivo V70 FE, I had mixed thoughts about the device. The device offers a premium design, a large, immersive screen, and quite good battery life. However, the core features, such as the camera and performance, do not match the price it asks for.

The camera is the feature where the Vivo V70 FE should have been the strongest in the V series. However, it is quite inconsistent in real-world use and even worse than the older Vivo V60. At the same time, the chipset is again questionable since there is a better option at a lower price.

The Vivo V70 FE is more style-centric than the value-centric one. If you’re looking for a device with style and battery life, the Vivo V70 FE is worth considering. However, if you’re looking for the best performance and camera output at this price point, I don’t think you should consider the Vivo V70 FE.
