  • Qualcomm has officially unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, its most powerful smartphone chipset yet. Built on an advanced 2nm process, the new chip is the first phone processor to hit 5GHz. It brings faster performance, better gaming, smarter AI features and improved battery efficiency.

    If you are a gamer, the Adreno GPU brings 44% better graphics. Not only that, the new Adreno Neural Fusion uses AI to upscale graphics and generate extra frames, saving up to 40% power in supported games. The AI chip (NPU) is also 35% faster, so it can run big AI models right on your phone.

    This chip supports Advanced Professional Video (APV). It lets you record 8K video at 60fps and 4K slow motion at 240fps, which the standard Gen 6 cannot do. It also has super-fast 5G with the Snapdragon X105 modem and Wi-Fi with FastConnect 8800. Overall, it’s fast, smart and made to go longer on a single charge.

    OnePlus 16 with Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6

    OnePlus 16,the 2026 flagship succeeding the OnePlus 15, is confirmed with Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and a new Wind Chaser Gaming Kernel for smoother gaming. OnePlus will share more details at its Game Conference in China on 28 September.
