Samsung Galaxy A57 Design and Build
Design was one of the first things that attracted me to the Samsung Galaxy A57, thanks to its slim 6.9mm body. It’s because I’m using a Galaxy A37 as well, which is plastic. But this phone has an aluminium frame and Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the back for protection against accidental damage.

Its in-hand feel is amazing; it fits perfectly in one hand. It shows fingerprints because of its shiny surface, and I noticed one small scratch on the back. You can only see the scratch when it’s really bright.

The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G features a redesigned, slim, and lightweight design with a vertically aligned, translucent-effect triple-camera bump on the back. This phone has a flat design and perfectly rounded edges, and its buttons are easy to tap.

I am using the Icyblue variant, which I like the most, but you can also buy it in Navy, Grey, and Lilac. It also comes with an IP68 rating for dust-tight and water-resistant, making it immersible up to 1.5m for 30 minutes.

Moving on to ports, it has a secondary speaker at the top. Moreover, the right side houses the volume rocker and power button. At the bottom, you can see a speaker grille, a USB Type-C port, and a SIM tray.
Samsung Galaxy A57 Camera
The camera on the Samsung Galaxy A57 is satisfactory, but at this price, it should deliver clearer and more refined results.

I captured plenty of images with its rear camera, and one thing I consistently observed is that in bright lighting conditions, the camera performs reliably without major issues.

It features a 50MP wide, 12MP ultrawide, and 5MP sensor setup.

You can check out the flower and building shots, most of which I clicked in cloudy weather when scenes naturally appear more aesthetic.

Colours remain close to reality, and the dynamic range is decent, not exceptional, but acceptable for everyday photography. Portrait mode also performs well, with sharp edge detection, while skin tones and overall facial colours stay fairly natural.

However, when I moved into low-light conditions, the images appeared grainy and lacked better detail retention, which could have been improved considering other smartphones in a similar price range.

During my Samsung Galaxy A57 review, I also captured multiple images using its 12MP front camera. The results are good, offering rich colours and pleasing selfies.

I also tested portrait mode on the front camera, where the results were fairly decent. Additionally, I recorded a few videos, and the quality was solid enough for regular use. The rear camera supports 4K video recording at 30 fps, making it a viable option for basic content creation as well.
Samsung Galaxy A57 Battery and Charging
The Samsung Galaxy A57 comes with a 5,000mAh battery, offering long battery life. I got up to two days on a single charge with typical usage. Speaking of SOT (Screen On Time), I got almost 7 hours on a single charge during light use, like watching YouTube videos and downloading movies. But when I played BGMI, I usually got almost 5 hours of SOT on a single charge.

This phone does not come with a charger in the box; you will only get a Type-C to Type-C cable for charging. I mostly used the Apple 20W charger to charge this phone. I can say there is no fast-charging support, as it took almost 75 to 80 minutes to charge fully.
Samsung Galaxy A57 Display
Samsung Galaxy A57 comes with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Compared to a standard AMOLED panel, the Galaxy A57’s Super AMOLED+ display feels brighter, slightly sharper, and offers better outdoor visibility.

In daily use, this means a more premium viewing experience while watching content, gaming, or scrolling, along with slightly better power efficiency.

This phone also supports HDR10+ for high-quality content from Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other OTT platforms. Moreover, it comes with a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth display scrolling.

During the Samsung Galaxy A57 review, I also used it in direct sunlight, and the display was quite visible thanks to support for 1200 nits (HBM) and 1900 nits (peak) brightness.
The Samsung Galaxy A57 has a smaller notch than the Galaxy A37, offering a more premium experience. Moreover, it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front, rated Mohs level 5, to provide strength and protection against accidental damage.
Samsung Galaxy A57 Performance
The Samsung Galaxy A57 comes with the latest Exynos 1680 (4nm) chipset, which delivers smooth overall performance. After a long time of using a Samsung phone with an in-house Exynos processor, I noticed that this device has comparatively fewer heating issues. I played a lot of BGMI and Asphalt 9 on the phone, and even after two to three matches in peak summer conditions, the heating remained fairly controlled.

However, when I played multiple matches after rainfall, with surrounding temperatures between 15 and 20 degrees. I barely noticed any heating issues. The cooler atmosphere also helped keep the phone’s temperature stable, making the gaming experience much more comfortable.
Talking about chipset performance, the Exynos 1680 (4nm) in the Samsung Galaxy A57 is a noticeable step forward for Samsung’s mid-range A-series. It focuses mainly on better sustained performance, efficiency, and thermal control rather than flagship-level power.
This chip offers around 10 to 15% better overall performance than the previous Exynos 1580, especially in multitasking and app handling. Samsung also controls heating more effectively during extended gaming sessions, such as BGMI, compared to older Exynos chips. The 4nm process helps with battery optimisation and stable day-to-day use. So, I can say that, after the Samsung Galaxy A57 review, in practical use, this phone feels smoother, cooler, and more reliable for daily use.

I also ran several Benchmark tests on the Samsung Galaxy A57 to assess its performance across different aspects. Its Geekbench scores are 1374 in single-core and 4391 in multi-core. The maximum in the CPU throttling test is 77 per cent. Moreover, its Antutu score is 13,79,609. The 3D Mark Wildlife Extreme Stress Test for stability has an overall score of 91.7%.
Samsung Galaxy A57 Software and UI
The Samsung Galaxy A57 offers one of the best UI experiences with One UI 8.5, based on Android 16. Samsung also promised to offer a 6-year OS and a 7-year security update.

I have mentioned this a lot in my write-up, but I’ll say it again: I liked Samsung’s UI the most across all phone brands. App opening and closing animations look amazing. App widgets and scrolling feel smooth. You can customise your icons and home screen to your liking.

One of the best things is that there is no bloatware on this phone, aside from a few official Google and Samsung apps.

The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G has special features called “Awesome Intelligence” (Galaxy AI) that help with taking photos, getting things done, and talking to others. This product has several helpful AI features. One of them is called Circle to Search with Google. This lets you find many things on your screen just by drawing a circle around them.

Another feature is Object Eraser, which helps you remove unwanted elements from your photos, such as extra objects, shadows, or reflections, making the picture look natural. This is my favourite feature.
There’s also Best Face, which picks the best smiles from different photos of people together to make one perfect picture. The Edit Suggestions feature analyses your photos and offers ideas to improve them, such as blurring the background or enhancing image quality.
Voice Transcription helps you record audio, convert speech to text, and even translate between languages such as English, Hindi, and Gujarati, all right on your device. Call Caption gives you live text during phone calls so you can read what is being said.
Lastly, AI Select suggests actions based on what you see on the screen, such as making GIFs or saving photos, and you can find these options in the Edge Panel.
After the Samsung Galaxy A57 review for an extended period. I can say it delivers a genuinely premium mid-range experience with its slim aluminium design, vibrant Super AMOLED+ display, reliable battery life, and smooth One UI 8 software. Samsung has also significantly improved Exynos performance, offering better thermal management and more stable day-to-day usage.
However, its pricing feels slightly on the high side, especially given the camera performance and charging speeds. It could have been better for this segment. If you prioritise premium design, long software support, excellent display quality, and polished software over raw performance, the Galaxy A57 is a strong choice. But value-focused buyers may find better alternatives with a stronger camera or charging capabilities.
