Airtel Prepaid Recharge Plans Hiked: Check Out The New Prices Here

Bharti Airtel, in a sudden move, has increased its tariffs by 20-25 per cent for various prepaid plans. This is also including tariffed voice plans, unlimited voice bundles, and data top-ups. However, Airtel prepaid recharge plans new hikes will be effective from November 26, 2021. The entry-level tariff voice plan has hiked by about 25 per cent. Whereas, for unlimited voice bundles the increase in most cases is about 20 per cent.

“Bharti Airtel has always maintained that the mobile Average Revenue Per User (ARPU) needs to be at Rs. 200 and ultimately at Rs. 300. So as to provided a reasonable return on capital that allows for a financially health business model,”

Simply put, these plans are now costlier by up to 25 per cent. Some plans have seen a hike of even Rs. 501. As mentioned above, these prices will be applicable starting November 26, 2021. Meanwhile, Airtel’s cheapest plan, which costs Rs. 79 right now, is all set to get about 25% costlier. Meaning, users will now have to pay Rs. 99. However, one should note that it is not just one recharge plan that will cost more, the company has hiked prices of almost all unlimited recharge packs. As you can see from the table, apart from the Airtel prepaid recharge plans – the data vouchers have also received a price hike. The Rs. 48, Rs. 98, and Rs. 251 vouchers will now be available for Rs. 58, Rs. 118, and Rs. 301. All the plans will retain their benefits but will now be available at costly prices.

Meanwhile, Vodafone Idea will now also be looking to raise tariffs to somewhat similar levels as of Airtel. However, whether Reliance Jio is also doing the same – is a question mark. Users now have less than four days to get their favourite Airtel prepaid recharge plan before the new hikes kick in.
