  • As per the reports the apple repair will not be there for the phones marked as stolen or lost. When an iPhone is missing or stolen in the GSMA Device Registry, Cupertino-based Apple will no longer fix it. Users who bring in an iPhone that has mark as lost in Apple’s MobileGenius or GSX systems will be denied service by Apple Store personnel and Apple Authorized Service Providers alike. The new alteration in an internal message distributed by Apple to all of its staff working in Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers.

    According to an internal letter by MacRumours, they will use the GSMA Device Registry database to determine the iPhone’s status. The technicians must decline the apple repair if the database and internal systems reflect that an iPhone is not with its owner.

    This isn’t a brand-new policy; instead, it’s a continuation of the company’s previous policy of not doing repairs on lost or stolen equipment. iPhones with the Find My Phone function on may use this method.
