Xiaomi users waiting for the next major software upgrade may have good news. A new unofficial list of HyperOS 4-eligible devices has surfaced online, offering an early look at Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO smartphones expected to receive the upcoming HyperOS 4 update based on Android 17.
Although Xiaomi has not officially announced the supported devices yet, the list has reportedly been compiled after reviewing the company’s software update policies. The update is expected to arrive later this year and could bring several new features, UI improvements, and deeper Android 17 integration.
Early reports suggest HyperOS 4 may be one of Xiaomi’s biggest software upgrades in recent years rather than a routine annual update.

HyperOS 4 Release Timeline And What To Expect
Reports indicate that Xiaomi could unveil HyperOS 4 between July and August 2026. However, the wider rollout for older eligible devices is expected to begin around October 2026.
It is worth noting that Xiaomi has previously released new HyperOS versions on older Android builds. For example, some devices received HyperOS 3 while still running Android 15. This means devices that are not eligible for Android 17 may still receive certain HyperOS 4 features, although some advanced functions could remain unavailable.
While Xiaomi has yet to confirm the final list, the leaked HyperOS 4 eligible devices lineup provides a strong indication of which smartphones and tablets are likely to receive the Android 17 based update. More details are expected once the company officially announces HyperOS 4 in the coming months.
