You Can Now Watch Insta Reels Directly On Your TV
Apps like YouTube, Hotstar, and others have already built their TV versions and bring Shorts, short videos, and many more fun entertainment domains to your TV screens. And now, Instagram joins this party as well. We will all now be able to watch reels directly on our TV with Instagram, just like we watch YouTube shorts.
Designed for shared home viewing, the app lets users watch Reels on television, supporting up to five accounts, each with a personalised feed. Users can log in using their existing Instagram account or create a separate profile exclusively for TV viewing.

Reels are organised into channels and categories like comedy, music, and lifestyle, and play automatically with sound, similar to traditional TV. Just like JioTV or other such TV-Fiber tie-ups, you will experience the same interface, a similar search functionality, and a similar UI, which will allow viewers to efficiently explore creators and topics.
When Will This Feature Come To India?
The Instagram Amazon Fire TV feature is already in the Beta testing phase, and the first rollout will take place in the US. Talking about when this feature will come in India, the expected timeline is around the end of the first quarter of 2026, likely around March or April.
