Reliance Jio has introduced a major AI upgrade for its services at the company’s 49th Annual General Meeting. The biggest highlight is the Jio Call AI-powered Agent launch, which promises to make everyday phone calls smarter and more productive. Along with this, Jio also announced an AI-powered version of the MyJio app that will work as a personal digital assistant for more than 500 million subscribers.
The new AI features are expected to roll out later this year and will be available across the Jio network.
Jio Call Agent Launch To Bring Smart AI Features To Calls
The upcoming Jio Call Agent can be activated during an ongoing call by simply saying “Hey Jio.” Once users give permission, the AI assistant joins the conversation and performs multiple tasks without interrupting the call.

Jio says the Call Agent will be available for all subscribers when it launches later this year. The company has also indicated that the feature is expected to be included without any extra subscription fee, regardless of the recharge plan.
MyJio App Gets An AI Powered Personal Assistant
Alongside the Jio Call Agent launch, the MyJio app is receiving a major AI makeover. Instead of searching through menus, users will be able to interact with the app using natural conversations.
The AI assistant will help users with tasks such as:
- Recharge management
- eSIM activation
- Travel recommendations
- International roaming suggestions
- General account assistance
Reliance Jio has also highlighted its focus on user privacy. The AI assistant will only perform actions after receiving user approval, and every payment or transaction will require separate confirmation.
