Released in November of 2020, the Micromax IN 1b is the company’s budget offering. The phone runs Android 10 Go Edition out of the box. The phone is now getting an update that brings in a lot of new features such as slo-mo recording, improved speaker and the latest security update.

It also fixes some bugs encountered on the previous version of the software and several improvements for the system. Having said that, the phone will still run on Android 10.
The OTA (Over the Air) update has just started rolling out and might take quite a while before you see it on your device. If you want to manually check for the update, users can do so by going to Settings>About Phone>Software and then clicking the “Check update” option.

The front of the phone houses the waterdrop notch and a 6.52-inch HD+ screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G35 processor. The Micromax IN 1b has the Mali G52 GPU with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. Micromax has plans to upgrade the IN 1b to Android 11 and even Android 12.
One of the USP of the phone is its battery. Rated at 5,000 mAh, the phone offers 10W charging capabilities.

The Micromax IN 1b features a dual camera set up that comprises a 13 MP primary sensor backed by a 2 MP secondary camera. For selfie, the phone comes with an 8 MP front camera.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 5.0, 3.5mm headphone jack and USB Type C port.
Micromax IN 1b Price
If you want to buy the 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB internal storage model, it will cost you Rs. 6,999. The other variant of the phone offering 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage, is priced at Rs. 7,999. The phone is available on both Flipkart as well as the Micromax website.
