On Android devices, Google is apparently deleting the Movies & TV tab from its Play Store app. Google has already stated that its ‘Movies and TV’ section would be out from Android devices in March. The Play Store app on Android will no longer allow users to browse, search, buy, or rent television shows and movies. Purchases and rentals will instead be available on Google TV. Users will be able to view their library alongside the recently revamped ‘Highlights’ news feed.

The ‘Movies and TV’ page is being eliminated from the Google Play Store for Android. According to a new announcement article, Google TV is the new substitute. Now the customers will be able to buy, rent, and watch purchased material on another platform. A recent feature named ‘Highlights’ news stream is also said to be available on Google TV.

Furthermore, the report claims that there have been few modifications to the previous manner of purchases, family sharing, payments (using Play credit and gift cards), refunds, and Play Points on the user’s wish list on the Play Store app.

According to the source, once the Movies and TV area was out from the Play Store application on Android devices. Users would now see only three tabs: Games, Apps, and Books, with Offers or Play Pass as a fourth option on the app.

“You’ll find the same experience you’re used to on Google Play Movies & TV on Google TV. App is to have the hottest new releases, rentals, promotions, and fantastic suggestions for you,” Google said at the time.
