  • OnePlus has officially started rolling out the OxygenOS 16.1 update, bringing several new features and performance improvements to supported devices. The update focuses on smoother animations, upgraded AI tools, a redesigned lock screen, and better overall user experience. The rollout has currently started for OnePlus 15 users in India, with more regions expected to receive the update soon.

    The OxygenOS 16.1 stable update arrives with firmware version CPH2745_16.0.7.201(EX01) and has a download size of around 2.1GB. The software was first released as a Release Candidate build before expanding to a wider audience this week.

    Since the rollout is happening in phases, some users may receive it later than others.

    OxygenOS 16.1 brings the Live Space experience

    One of the biggest OxygenOS 16.1 features is the new Live Space experience. The feature works similarly to Samsung’s “Now Bar” and adds a capsule style interface on the lock screen for live notifications, music controls, timers, and match updates.

    The update also improves animations across the system with the new Luminous Rendering Engine. Users can expect smoother scrolling, faster floating window actions, and more responsive controls.

    The OxygenOS 16.1 update also upgrades the camera app with cleaner menus and smoother interactions. Users can now create and share custom camera presets through watermarks.

    Battery statistics have become more detailed, showing hotspot usage and app level activity time. The update also improves spam call detection with enhanced caller identification.
