POCO has finally confirmed the launch date for the POCO F9 series, ending months of leaks and speculation about its next flagship smartphone lineup. The company will launch the new POCO F9 series globally on September 1. The lineup is expected to include two models, with no standard F9 model reportedly planned.
The new phones, POCO F9 Pro and POCO F9 Ultra, are expected to be global versions of the Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro and Xiaomi Redmi K100 Pro Max, which have already launched in China. Both models could bring powerful hardware, large batteries, and high refresh-rate displays to the global market.
POCO F9 Pro And F9 Ultra Specifications
Both smartphones are tipped to use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, including the gaming focused V series version seen on the Chinese models. The expected specifications include:
POCO F9 Pro
- Display: 6.59-inch QHD+ Plastic OLED display, with 185Hz refresh rate
- Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset
- Storage: Up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage
- Battery:6,330mAh battery, 100W wired charging
- Camera: 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and 50-megapixel 3x telephoto camera with OIS, with 32-megapixel front camera

POCO F9 Ultra
- Display: 6.85-inch 2608 × 1200 display
- Processor: Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset
- Storage: Up to 16GB RAM and 512GB storage
- Battery: 8,050mAh battery, with 100W wired charging
- Camera: 50-megapixel main camera, 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, 50-megapixel 5x telephoto camera, and 32-megapixel front camera
Both phones are also expected to support 8K video recording, USB PD charging, Bose tuned speakers and IP69 certification. The F9 Ultra could additionally feature an LED notification ring around its camera module.
POCO F9 Series Launch Date And Price
According to earlier leaks, the POCO F9 Pro could start at €799 (roughly Rs 89,185) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant. The POCO F9 Ultra may start at €999 (roughly Rs 1,11,510) for the 16GB RAM and 512GB version.
With the POCO F9 series launch date now confirmed for September 1, POCO is expected to reveal the final specifications, pricing and market availability during the global launch event.
