The unconfirmed smartphone received the FCC certification with the model number SM-M225FV/DS. Although there are not many new details to gather from the US FCC listing – it does give a key detail. According to the listing, Samsung Galaxy M22 could be Samsung’s most affordable phone with 25W charging support. Meanwhile, there are speculations that the brand can launch this device with a 6000mAh battery. Earlier leaks suggested that a Samsung phone with model number SM-225FV/DS supports 9V/ 1.67A (15W) and 9V/ 2.77A (25W) charging capabilities.

On the other hand, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy M22 is listed on Bluetooth SIG. The listing suggests it can come with Bluetooth v5 connectivity and EDR (Enhanced Data Rate). It also suggests that the phone may support dual-SIM slots and come with LTE connectivity. Moreover, the indications on the listing suggest that the development of the device could have already started in September last year.

Whereas, previous leaks claim that Samsung Galaxy M22 with model number SM-225FV/DS can support 9V/ 1.67A (15W) and 9V/ 2.77A (25W) charging capabilities. However, the phone is not likely to deliver a faster charging experience out-of-the-box. This is because the phone should come bundled with a 15W charger (EP-TA200) to save costs.

The phone also appears to have dual-SIM support along with 4G LTE. Whereas, other leaks include a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and the phone may run on Android 11 software based on One UI skin on top. Samsung Galaxy M22 may be powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC and have a 48-megapixel primary rear camera.
