Xiaomi launched its’ latest flagship Xiaomi 12 series in China back in December 2021. But the series did not include the Xiaomi 12 Ultra variant in the lineup. As of now, the series consists of three devices – Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12 Pro. However, since its launch, the Ultra variant has surfaced online quite a lot revealing some details. Now, a new leak by Digital Chat Station on Weibo suggests that Xiaomi has decided not to upgrade the camera setup on this variant.

Xiaomi 12 Ultra to have the same camera hardware as the Xiaomi 11 Ultra?
According to the renowned Weibo tipster, Digital Chat Station, the Ultra would not be offering any upgrade over its predecessor when it comes to sensors. The 50-megapixel+48-megapixel +48-megapixel configuration will be retained in the upcoming flagship.

Although the camera setup on the upcoming Xiaomi 12 Ultra may be the same as the Xiaomi 11 Ultra. But the camera module design will be new. To recall, the protective case of the device leaked a few weeks back revealing a different camera module than its predecessor. What’s more interesting is that the Mi 11 Ultra’s rear display will not be a part of this year’s Ultra variant.
Apart from this, rumours suggest that Xiaomi 12 Ultra features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. In addition, it may come with a 5,000mAh battery unit and 120W HyperCharge fast charging support. However, there is no other information available on the device right now.
