Cons
- Realme XT looks a lot like Realme 5 Pro and seems like a lazy rehash of it.
Realme XT is a capable phone, but it does not seem to alter anything significant when compared to the Realme 5 Pro. However, if you are mesmerized by the 64MP camera of the phone, then you can go for this phone without facing any issue.
Realme XT shakes the smartphone with one of its main highlights – the astonishing 64MP camera. Priced at Rs. 16,999, the Realme XT might appear to be like any other Realme handset, but it does pack a punch with its photo-capturing capabilities.
Combining style and substance, this phone can be a great companion to perform your daily smartphone requirements. It pairs up a powerful processor with a juicy battery, making the phone a reliable handset for your everyday needs. It can be a great phone to test out your photographic skills. However, if you have your eyes set on Realme 5 Pro, do not expect too many differences from the Realme XT.
Realme XT looks a lot like Realme 5 Pro. It has similar dimensions, and on the front, there is a waterdrop notch holding the selfie camera. On the rear panel, the phone comes with a vertical camera module. The camera module protrudes a little bit, but it is not very uncomfortable. While Realme XT looks a lot like the Realme 5 Pro, it does modify itself by arriving with Gorilla Glass 5 on the rear and front and an in-display sensor. Realme XT goes for an iridescent effect and not the geometric pattern that we have seen on Realme 5 Pro. Realme XT is quite reflective and can show several reflections when the phone is tilted in a certain way. However, this feature is what makes the design a smudge magnet too. The phone is quite compact and can fit in your hand comfortably. It arrives with a 3.5mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port. The power and the volume rocker buttons are present on either side of the phone and are ergonomically placed.
Realme XT arrives with a 6.4-inch full-HD+ Super AMOLED screen. The screen is quite bright and crisp. Plus, since it is an AMOLED screen, you will get to experience the deeper blacks and vibrant colours on this phone. Overall, the Realme XT delivers a strong display which can immerse you in any content that you watch on this phone.
Realme XT has gone for the Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor, which is the same processor used in Realme 5 Pro. It has three variants: a 4GB RAM version, a 6GB RAM version, and an 8GB RAM version. While the Snapdragon 712 processor is a mid-range processor, it is best known for being a processor bridging the gap between the budget Snapdragon 600 series and high-end Snapdragon 800 series. Snapdragon 712 can deliver a fantastic performance, helping with fast multitasking and stutter-free gaming. You can even play PUBG Mobile on this phone without facing any stutters.
The Realme XT arrives with four cameras on the back. The main highlight is the primary, whopping 64MP camera. The primary camera is supported by an 8MP wide-angle camera and two 2MP cameras – one for macros and the other for depth sensing. There is an Ultra 64MP mode in the camera app, and when activated, it can click amazing shots with impressive quality. Even zooming does not affect the photo quality. In proper light conditions, the cameras perform well producing brilliant and precise shots. At night, there might be a bit of grain captured, but it’s mostly controlled. The primary camera also has electronic stabilisation.
The phone has a 16MP selfie camera which is quite good and can capture social-media worthy shots.
The phone arrives with a massive 4000 mAh battery. It can easily last you for an entire day even with moderate to intensive tasks. Plus, the phone comes with VOOC 3.0 fast charging, an important highlight of this phone. It will take up juice quite fast and can get charged within an hour and a half.
Realme XT almost looks like the Realme 5 Pro with a few minor changes. Yes, it does come with an in-display fingerprint sensor and a powerful 64MP camera. But overall, it feels a lot like the Realme 5 Pro. If you are a photographer and you love the design of Realme 5 Pro, then this phone will be great for you. The massive battery and fast charging make the phone a reliable companion as well. However, Realme seems to be producing quite near-identical variants of their handsets, which might create confusion among buyers soon.
