God of War

How could we make this list and not include Santa Monica Studio‘s magnum opus, God of War? With the 2018 edition of God of War, the studio took a few steps back, completed some breathing exercises, flexed its creative muscles, and gave us a behemoth of a game. In addition to this, you get more level gameplay that focuses equally on both strategy and action. The pacing is deliberate, the action intense, and the story is intriguing with some big reveals.
