Coolpad Cool 20s Launch in India

A new low-cost 5G smartphone from Coolpad has hit the Chinese market. The Coolpad Cool 20s has been launched in China as the successor to the previously launched Coolpad Cool 20. The Coolpad Cool 20s is marketed as an affordable option for 5G connectivity, and its features and specs include a dual camera setup, a 4500mAh battery, and a 90Hz LCD display. It also supports fast charging.

Coolpad Cool 20s Price in India

In China, the newest Coolpad Cool 20s has a base price of CNY 999 (about equivalent to Rs 11,570). The mobile device may be purchased in blue, black, or white since they are the available colour choices. In China, pre-sales of the product are already being accepted, and it is slated to go into retail on June 17 of this year.

Coolpad Cool 20s Design

The attractive design of the reasonably priced smartphone has a cutout in the screen that resembles a water droplet. On the back of the phone is a large camera module in the form of a pill, which houses both of the phone’s cameras as well as the Led indicator unit. The rotary control for the volume and the power switch are both located on the right side of the smartphone, and the area that progresses up serves as the fingerprint scanner. This mobile device has a body that is around 8.28 millimetres thin and weighs close to 180 grams.

The screen of the Coolpad Cool 20s is 6.58 inches and has a resolution of 1080 by 2408 pixels, making it a full HD+ display. In addition, the display panel can cycle through 16.7 million different colours at a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The scrolling will be smooth and it is a nice move to add this feature along with 5G connectivity at this price point.

Coolpad Cool 20s Performance

The MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor is at the heart of this device. 3 RAM and storage options are available for the phone. The RAM goes from 4GB to 8GB, while the available storage capacity is 128GB.  Using a dedicated microSD card slot, up to 1TB of storage may be added to the device’s memory. This is a capable 5G processor and will handle all the operations with ease. Cool OS 2.0, based on Android 11, comes preinstalled on the Coolpad Cool 20s.

Coolpad Cool 20s Camera

The smartphone has a twin camera system as standard equipment. The back sensor has a resolution of 50 megapixels with an aperture of 1.8, while the macro lens has a resolution of 2 megapixels. In addition, there is an 8-megapixel camera located on the front of the device for taking selfies. For the given price tag, this is a good combination and you’ll be able to enjoy decent photography at a decent cost.

Coolpad Cool 20s Battery

Coming to the battery, there is a 4500 mAh battery loaded in this device, which is capable of running for a decent amount of time but there should have been a 5000 mAh battery at least that we are seeing in almost every affordable device these days. Also, there is only 18W fast charging, which is not that fast though. It would have been better to add a 22.5W charger instead to the package.

Coolpad Cool 20s Verdict

Coolpad Cool 20s features a decent spec sheet with a fast display, 5G connectivity, and a good camera setup, although the ultra-wide-angle camera is missing, the smartphone is worth considering given its price tag.
