    Conclusion
  • AI is now integrated more deeply into the photography, video, call, and task functionalities of the Pixel 11 Pro. Google treats AI along with other functionalities of their Pixel 11 Pro, rather than listing AI as one of the separate features.

Google Pixel 11 Pro comes powered with Google Tensor G6 silicon and intelligent Gemini experiences. Additionally, Google Pixel offers features like Magic Capture, HiLight and enhanced Night Sight, effectively incorporating AI across the Pixel product line. Here is what you can expect.

Smarter Gemini on Google Pixel 11 Pro

Gemini is the heart of Google’s Pixel AI strategy. On Pixel 11 Pro devices, Gemini has been rebuilt to help with daily tasks and activities beyond the rigid chat-prompt-based assistants.

Google has also expanded Gemini Intelligence (aka Gemini Assistant), providing further contextual assistance for users with the phone. This helps to make Gemini more integrated and assistant-like rather than a standalone chatbot.

For Pixel users, the bigger benefit is the way Gemini works alongside other Google services and smartphone features. It can help users find information, understand content and perform tasks with fewer steps.

The Pixel 11 Pro also supports Circle to Search through the camera, giving users another way to search for things they see around them.

New AI Camera and Editing Features

The Google Pixel 11 Pro allows users to take advantage of more AI features, including Magic Capture. This function combines both photos and videos, and selects suitable moments. With this, users can easily create a video to share.

Google also gives its Pixel users the ability to zoom up to 120x with Pro Zoom. The company uses Tensor G6 to process images, and its AI technology to enhance the zoomed photos.

Photography in low light is also enhanced with Instant Night Sight. Instant Night Sight can capture photos much faster than before, with Google claiming up to 4.5x faster capture in certain conditions. Google has designed this feature to take night photography at next level.

The Creator Suite is useful to creators as they can now use tools like a teleprompter or speech improvement in video clip editing.

The Pixel 11 Pro also focuses on practicality in calls with improvements to the Everyday AI Tools. Features such as the Call Screen and Call Notes help the user to address unknown calls and important calls, respectively.

Smarter Calls and Everyday AI Tools

Google uses its calling technology to enhance the calling experience, utilising its AI technology. Google Pixel 11 Pro also follows suit.

The main feature is its contextual understanding, as the software doesn’t require the user to launch an AI tool. Instead, the software determines the context and can make relevant information easily available to the user.

The Google Pixel 11 Pro also introduces HiLight, a new RGB LED around the rear camera area. It can glow when Gemini is interacting with the user and can also provide visual alerts for selected contacts. This means users can get certain notifications even when the phone is face down.

    Tensor G6 and On-Device AI

The Google Pixel 11 Pro is powered by Google’s new Tensor G6 chipset.

Google continues to design Tensor around the needs of Pixel phones, particularly AI, photography and efficiency. The new chip also enables several of the Pixel 11 Pro’s camera improvements, including faster Night Sight and the extended zoom capabilities.

The importance of Tensor G6 goes beyond benchmark performance. Google’s Pixel strategy is increasingly focused on processing AI tasks efficiently while combining on-device capabilities with Google’s cloud-based Gemini models.

This hybrid approach allows the Pixel 11 Pro to deliver faster smartphone features while still taking advantage of more powerful cloud-based AI when needed.

Google Pixel 11 Pro AI vs Samsung Galaxy AI

Google is not the only company pushing AI heavily on flagship smartphones. Samsung’s Galaxy S26 Ultra also offers a wide range of AI features, including Now Nudge, Now Brief, Photo Assist and Creative Studio.

Samsung’s Now Nudge can understand what is happening on the screen and suggest relevant actions, while Now Brief provides personalised updates throughout the day. Photo Assist and Creative Studio focus more on AI-powered editing and content creation.

Google’s approach is more centred around Gemini, computational photography and Google’s wider ecosystem. Samsung, meanwhile, has built Galaxy AI around contextual assistance, productivity and creative tools.

    Conclusion

The Pixel 11 Pro is one of Google’s most AI-focused smartphones yet.

The biggest change is not simply the number of AI features. Google is trying to make AI a natural part of the phone experience, from taking photos and creating videos to searching for information and interacting with Gemini.

Features such as Magic Capture, 120x Pro Zoom, Instant Night Sight, Creator Suite and HiLight show that Google is using AI for practical smartphone functions rather than relying only on chatbot-style features.

But the real test now is simple: whether these AI features remain useful after the initial excitement wears off. For the Pixel 11 Pro, Google appears to be betting heavily that they will.
