After the Indian Government banned the popular online battle royale PUBG, alternatives such as FAU-G have made their way into the market.

Endorsed by the Indian Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, the game received widespread criticism. It is due to the fact that FAU-G is a campaign only single-player game. Since January 26, the game is available on the Google Play Store.

The developer nCore Games has announced on Twitter that they will be adding a Team Deathmatch mode in FAU-G. Akshay Kumar has also tweeted about the new game mode, making no comments about when it will be released.

After its initial launch, more than 5 million users have downloaded FAU-G. While the game rated 4.5 stars after launch, it quickly dropped in less than one week. This was due to the fact that it was a single-player game, unlike PUBG.

Players also complained that there were very few motivation to continue playing the game since it had little to no content.

Both nCore Games and Akshay Kumar have said that the new game mode will enable players to play FAU-G with their friends. The Team Deathmatch will consist of two teams of five players, who will battle each other.

FAU-G developers have also hinted at a new map, where the battle will take place. In case you get killed, you will be able to respawn back at the respawn point. The team which has more number of kills in a limited time will be the winner.
