One of the biggest E-commerce platforms, Flipkart, announced on Friday that it recorded a huge increase in users. This increase has come around with the ninth edition of The Big Billion Days (TBBD) Sale. Flipkart recorded 1.5 million concurrent users per second on the first day of the Sale.
Though the actual sales numbers are not out. Flipkart had remarked that the TBBD Sales mark the festive season happiness of the customers.
As per Flipkart, the sectors of mobiles, large appliances, fashion, furniture, and home appliances have recorded the highest demand by buyers. Even grocery purchase on Flipkart has increased, according to the company.
Highest-Ever 1.6 Million Users Logged In Per Second
Flipkart has also stated that “TBBD 2022 witnessed an unprecedented number of concurrent users on the app – 1.5 million per second. The number of Flipkart Plus customers using Early Access during TBBD 2022 saw healthy growth as compared to last year’s event. The majority of these customers were firm Tier-2 cities and beyond”.
Other than this, Walmart – Owned Firm also said that its easy payment option of Pay Later EMI recorded an increase by 12 times just after the adoption on Day One. Shopsy, Flipkart’s e-commerce platform, also attracted a large number of buyers from Tier – 2 cities and beyond. The main products were sarees, men’s t-shirts, and headphones.
During the first 24 hours of the sale, according to Flipkart, one cycle sold out per second. The Bharat Tier – 2 and beyond customers have found value in the selection. Kirana’s partnership with Flipkart has also seen inflammation from 2019 to 2022. The festival’s first week sales are to reach $5.9 billion.

The top cities where the highest orders were placed included New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Howrah, Patna, Surat, Agra and many more.
