JioHotstar Price Hike : New Prices and Plans
JioHotstar updates its subscription packs. Super and Premium plans cost more. Mobile-only plan stays the same for now.
- Mobile Plan — Rs 29 per month (no change)
- Super Plan — Rs 899 per year (was Rs 699)
- Premium Plan — Rs 1,499 per year (was Rs 1,299)
- Super Plan (monthly) — Rs 99 per month (was Rs 89)
- Premium Plan (monthly) — Rs 299 per month (was Rs 249)
Super Plan gives access to non-live sports and 1080p video. Premium Plan includes live sports, 4K streaming, and multi-device support. Users get IPL, ICC tournaments, and new movies.

Why Subscription Has Increased?
JioHotstar spends heavily on cricket rights and new content. IPL media rights cost billions. Disney+ Hotstar merger adds Marvel, Star Wars, and Hotstar originals. The company needs to cover costs. Many users still find plans affordable compared to Netflix and Amazon Prime.
The hike affects yearly and monthly subscribers. Existing users get old rates until renewal. Jio offers bundle deals with JioFiber and JioAirFiber at lower effective prices.
