Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro India launch is not happening. Google has confirmed the new officially saying that the series will launch only in some select international markets. As we know, this new series launched just yesterday on October 19, 2021. Interestingly, it launched with the company’s proprietary Tensor SoC. It also features a new design with a horizontal camera bar at the back. But the question remains why is it not launching in India? Read below to know as to why the Indian markets are not included in the select launching markets.

“Due to a variety of factors including global demand supply issues, we are not able to make our products available in all markets. We remain committed to our current Pixel 6 phones. We also look forward to bringing future Pixel devices to more countries in the future”.

Google spokesperson said in an emailed statement to Gadget 360

Hence, the Pixel 6 series will go on sale in the US, UK, Taiwan, Japan, Canada, France, Germany and Australia. Although this is not the first time the company has decided to not bring its new Pixel phones to India. This is happening for quite some time now. However, it did bring the regular Pixel 4a to the Indian market last year.

Meanwhile, according to market experts Google does not consider India as a priority market. Especially it comes to flagship Pixel phones due to a list of valid reasons. Most Indian consumers prefer specifications while buying phones. For a long time, the Pixel lineup that has been ‘under-specced’ until the Pixel 6 series in that sense did not attract them.
