Redmi 10 (2022) is apparently gearing up for its launch in India. A few weeks ago, the phone bearing the model number Xiaomi 2112119SG surfaced on the IMEI database. But since then, the smartphone has bagged many more certifications like TKDN certification, EEC certification, Singapore’s IMDA, and TUV Rheinland. Although these certifications hint very little with respect to their specs; but it does hint at a global launch. Now, a new finding by a reliable Xiaomi tipster Kacper Skrzypek suggests that the company might also launch the Redmi 10 Prime 2022.
To recall, Redmi 10 launched as Redmi 10 Prime respectively in India. The only difference between these smartphones is the battery capacity and thickness. The Redmi 10 Prime comes with a 6,000mAh battery. Whereas, the Redmi 10 Global version is equipped with a 5,000mAh battery. Xiaomi might be doing the same once again with the Redmi 10 2022 and Redmi 10 Prime 2022.

Redmi 10 Prime: Specifications
It sports a 6.5-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with 2400 x 1080 pixel resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, and 400 nits peak brightness. The display features a punch-hole notch and also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The handset is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 processor coupled with ARM Mali G52 GPU. The handset comes in up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128GB of 5.1 storage.
In terms of optics, it packs a 50-megapixel triple-rear camera setup that includes an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. For selfies and video calls, there is an 8-megapixel shooter with an f/2.0 aperture. It is equipped with a 6,000mAh battery and 18W fast charging.

Furthermore, the Redmi 10 Prime runs on MIUI 12.5 which is based on Android 11. It device features a USB Type-C port, side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm audio jack, a dedicated micro-SD card slot, an infrared sensor, and a stereo speaker setup. Connectivity options include Dual sim, 4G, VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS.
