Redmi K50 Series Launch Timeline Tipped: Know the Details Here

This isn’t the first time now, rumours and leaks of the Redmi K50 series are surfacing online. Although Xiaomi has not revealed anything specific about the smartphone as of now. Earlier leaks hinted that the phone will come with 100W fast charging. The series is expecting to include the standard Redmi K50, a K50 Pro variant, and a Pro Plus variant. Previous rumours also hinted that the phone could launch sometime in Q4 of 2021. However, it looks it might not be the case.

In a recent development, the series is rumoured to have four models in its lineup. Apparently, it will have two phones powering on the MediaTek Dimensity 7000 and 9000 chipsets. Whereas, the remaining two will power on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 and recently launched Snapdragon 8 Gen1. In addition, the Redmi K50 series might also run on the upcoming MIUI 13 pre-installed.

Now, according to Digital Chat Station, it has been shared that the upcoming Redmi K50 series will launch next year. He also adds that all the devices in the series will arrive by the end of February 2022 in China. Furthermore, the tipster also mentions that all the smartphones will come with MIUI 13, straight out of the box.

Redmi K50 Series Leaked Specifications

A Chinese tipster who goes by the screen name Panda is Bald has leaked the rumoured specifications of the Redmi K50 series smartphone. The upcoming Redmi phone will be backed by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G processor, according to the source. The device is believed to have a 5,000mAh battery and a USB Type-C charging port that supports 67W fast charging.

The primary camera on the upcoming Redmi K50 is expected to be 108 megapixels. If this claim is to be true, there will also be a 3X telephoto lens. That said, the source is now unsure about the 3X telephoto; so we’ll have to take it with a grain of salt until more information becomes available. In addition, the phone is rumoured to have a 20MP selfie camera.

In terms of the smartphone’s display, the tipster believes that the Redmi K50 series would have a 1080p curved display. So far, no information on what kind of display the device will have, but it is expected to have a 120Hz refresh rate.
